Let’s see what’s in the December 2017 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As always, all of the crafts were shipped in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
All of the crafts were listed on info sheet, along with photos and tips on how to complete each one. — December’s theme was “Merry Christmas!” and included an assortment of fun holiday-themed projects.
Unfortunately, our family was cursed by the Christmas 2017 stomach bug and no one was feeling up for crafting (or much of anything) over the last week or so. Rather than do these cute holiday crafts after Christmas, we decided to hold onto them for next year so we can fully enjoy them. 🙂
Skateboarding Foam Reindeer Craft Kit
This silly skateboarding reindeer craft is similar to the snowman skateboarder we received back in January’s kit. He’s easy to assemble using the provided double-sided foam circles and looks super cool in his festive green shades. 😉
Peanuts 3D Christmas Craft Kit
A fun 3D display featuring Peanuts characters Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Woodstock. Just punch out the slots in the foam base, stick the foam pieces in the appropriate spots, and you’re good to go.
DIY Unfinished Wood Angel Ornament
Your child can use crayons, markers, or paint to decorate this wooden angel ornament. It’s already pre-strung and ready to hang on the tree.
3D Christmas Stand-Up Sticker Scene
The background sheet on the left can be folded to stand on its own, which acts as the “3D” part of this craft. A sheet of colorful holiday stickers can be used to decorate the tree, fireplace, wall, and floor space.
3D Foam Gingerbread Man Craft Kit
Aw, this little guy is like the holiday version of the pumpkin man from November’s kit. To make your new gingerbread man friend, just attach his head and body using the wooden dowel, then decorate him with the foam shapes as shown in the instructions. Cute!
Gingerbread Mosaic Glitter Sign
Complete the mosaic gingerbread sign using the provided self-adhesive glitter circles. The colors on the sign coordinate with the circles so you know which ones go where.
DIY Unfinished Wood Snowman Ornament
Like the angel ornament above, your child can use crayons, markers, or paint to decorate this wooden angel ornament. It’s already pre-strung and ready to hang on the tree.
Wooden Beaded Holiday Necklace Craft Kit
A fun holiday-themed necklace featuring wooden Christmas tree light charms and multi-colored wooden beads. These are always a hit with my kiddos.
While I was sad that we didn’t get a chance to complete the crafts in December’s DoodleBug Busy Bag, it’ll be fun to re-discover it when we unpack our holiday decorations next year. A fun & festive collection as always! 🙂 — Upcoming themes include “Winter” (January), “Valentine’s Day” (February), “Easter” (March), and “Spring” (April).
