Let’s see what’s in the February 2016 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As usual, all of the crafts were sent in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
February’s theme was “Valentine’s Day” and all of the crafts were listed on the info sheet along with photos and tips on how to complete each one. Additional instructions were printed on the back as well.
Craft Roll Love Bug Craft Kit – All of the materials needed to make a sweet “love bug” were provided — a craft roll, foam pieces, pipecleaners, a red pom-pom, and glue dots. Some of the steps were a little advanced for my 3-year-olds, but with a little assistance the end result was adorable.
Sticking on the pom-pom nose.
The end result! I love his tiny heart-shaped “hands”. 🙂
Sweetheart Bears Door Hanger Craft Kit – A foam door hanger craft kit featuring teddy bears and hearts. Perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Bow stickin’.
(End result after the next craft.)
Love is in the Air Sign Craft Kit – This one was a little more advanced, so I did most of the steps myself. The girls helped stick on the foam letters and hearts, but attaching the strings was definitely a mom job. 😉
Here are the completed door hanger and hot air balloon sign. They actually turned out better than I expected. Yay!
Tissue Heart Craft Kit – The girls had fun with this craft and I think it was probably my favorite too. All of the little squares of tissue paper in the photo above had to be separated and crumpled up. I did the separating while they handled all the crumpling. Once crumpled, the pieces were to be glued onto the cardboard heart as shown on the instruction sheet.
Glueing the red “crumples”.
The completed heart! Love it!
DIY Valentine Candy House Sticker Scene – A gingerbread house, Valentine’s style! A sheet of festive stickers were included to decorate the candy house scene.
The girls clearly took an… abstract approach.
Haha! It looks like the poor house is in mid-explosion. 😉
Valentine Bear Magnet – A very simple magnet craft that involved positioning the self-adhesive shapes to the green bear body.
We used a glue dot to stick on his little pink tail.
All done!
Fun Extras – Also included were a few extra Valentine’s Day themed goodies. — A heart mechanical pencil, mini heart stickers, and a spiral notebook with stickers on the last page.
Another great collection of festive crafts from DoodleBug Busy Bags! We’re all about holidays over here, so we love that they feature so many holiday-themed kits. Fun stuff! 🙂
