Let’s see what’s in the February 2019 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As always, all of the crafts were shipped in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
All of the crafts were listed on an info sheet, along with photos and tips on how to complete each one. — February’s theme was “Valentine’s Day” and included a collection of heart/love-inspired crafts to decorate your home.
Valentine Cookie Magnet Craft Kit
This cute “cookie” magnet kit includes self-adhesive foam hearts and glitter (optional) for decorating. If you chose to use the glitter, you would need to spread a layer of glue over the entire cookie and sprinkle the glitter on top.
Being the glitter-phobe I am, we — okay, I — opted to just stick with the foam hearts. 😉
So cute!
Valentine Button Frame Craft Kit
A unique “framed” craft whose materials include a foam backing, purple popsicle sticks, plastic buttons, and double-sided adhesive squares. Just follow the steps shown on the instruction sheet to complete this sweet decoration.
Putting the final button in place. The double-sided adhesive squares were a little too big and were visible behind the frame, but no biggie.
All done!
Who’s the Best Owl Foam Magnet Craft Kit
An easy peel-n-stick magnet kit that included metal brads to make the owl’s wings moveable to reveal a special message.
All of the foam pieces (except the wings) were self-adhesive.
“Whooo’s the best?”
“You are!!!”
Magic Color Scratch Hearts
Your child could use the plastic scratching tool to etch designs into the hearts, revealing the pretty rainbow colors beneath.
Scratch, scratch, scratch…
More scratch, scratch, scratch…
Butterflies, hearts, and carrot friends!
Bright Heart Mobile Craft Kit
This kit was a little more involved than the others and required a bit more help from a grownup. Mainly, attaching all of the strings to the mobile.
Sandwiching the self-adhesive hearts to the strings.
Decorating the top portion of the mobile.
The end result! — We had to reinforce the foam strip (top part) with extra tape to hold it in place, but it turned out so cute. 🙂
Foam Conversation Heart Wreath Craft Kit
An easy to complete craft that simply involved attaching the foam hearts to the cardboard ring using the provided double-sided adhesive squares.
Smooshing the hearts in place.
All done and ready to hang!
Mini Valentine Activity Book with Crayons
My girls both love to color, so they were happy to see this mini Valentine’s Day themed activity book & crayon set included in February’s bag.
It was filled with mazes, coloring pages, and more.
Valentine Character Tote Bag
In addition to the crafts, they also included this fun Valentine’s Day inspired heart tote — complete with dangling arms & legs. 🙂
Holiday-themed crafts from DoodleBug Busy Bags are always our favorites! We loved working on these Valentine’s Day activities and displaying them around the house. 🙂 — If you’re interested in subscribing to DoodleBug Busy Bags, the theme for March will be Spring and April’s will be Easter.
