Let’s see what’s in the January 2017 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As always, all of the crafts were shipped in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
I was missing a few pieces for one of the crafts last month (Santa’s eyes!), so they sent me some extras. I didn’t even mention it to them, so it was just something they noted from my review. Nice! 🙂
All of the crafts were listed on info sheet, along with photos and tips on how to complete each one. — January’s theme was “Winter Fun”!
Skateboarding Foam Snowman Craft Kit
I’m starting with this craft because it’s flippin’ ADORABLE. I mean, you just can’t go wrong with a skateboarding snowman. With sunglasses no less. 😉 He was surprisingly easy to assemble too. — Basically just stick all the pieces together using the double-sided adhesive circles.
Puttin’ on the shades.
Ha! I love him.
Bead and Foam Snowflake Ornament Craft
We’ve gotten similar beaded crafts in previous boxes and never had a problem, but for some reason the beads were a little bit trickier to fit in the holes this time. It still turned out pretty cute though.
I think this was about how many beads she got in until I had to take over to avoid a mini meltdown. 😉
3D Foam Winter Snowman House Craft Kit
This was the first craft my girls wanted to work on and I could see why… It’s like a wintery, non-Christmasy version of a gingerbread house, complete with adorable (self-adhesive) characters and plenty of snow.
The tiny red birdie was saved for last.
Too cute!!
Snowman Craft Stick Character Ornament
We got a Santa version of this craft in last month’s bag (the one that was missing eyes), but I’m happy to report that all of the snowman’s facial features were present. 🙂
Affixing the all-important carrot nose.
Ta-dah!
Lacing Felt Plush Snowman Craft Kit
December’s bag featured a reindeer lacing craft “plush”, so now he’ll have a little snowman friend to hang out with.
There was a lot of “carrot nose affixing” in this month’s bag.
Our cross-eyed, candy corn nosed snowman!
Smiley Snowflake Beaded Necklace Craft Kit
These necklace kits are always a big hit with my kiddos. They’ve gotten so good at stringing all those tiny beads. I remember having to do it for them not too long ago… Sniff Time flies.
Stringin’ with ease.
Gotta love those jumbo googly eyes.
Along with the crafts, we also received some winter-themed extras: A metallic snowflake slap bracelet, snowflake foil notepad, stamper, and stackable snowman pencil. Fun!
Another great collection of crafts from DoodleBug Busy Bags! My girls had a lot of fun assembling them as always. The bonus items were a nice surprise too! — Upcoming bag themes include Valentine’s Day (one of our favorites!), Spring, and Easter. 🙂
