Let’s see what’s in the January 2018 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As always, all of the crafts were shipped in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
All of the crafts were listed on info sheet, along with photos and tips on how to complete each one. — January’s theme was “Winter Fun” and included a collection of seasonally inspired projects.
Winter Welcome Foam Sign Craft Kit
A simple peel n’ stick craft with snow-covered trees and bundled up friends to help welcome in the winter season.
Poppin’ out the trees.
All done! — Such a happy snowman friend. 🙂
3D Silly Snowman Sticker Scene
Using the sheet of faces and accessories, your child could personalize the snowman cutout, then insert the base pieces to display him for everyone to enjoy.
One of my daughter’s recently got glasses, so it only made sense for her to choose the funky orange glasses for her snowman too.
Aww… She looks like a sweet old lady snowman. Er, woman.
Lacing Felt Plush Penguin Craft Kit
My kids always enjoy these fun “plush” kits. They still have a little trouble with the lacing, which we have to help them with, but they LOVE the stuffing part. 😉
Last step — adding the beak!
Cuuuuute!
Winter Sticker Scene
Using the sheet of stickers, your child can decorate the large winter background scene.
Giving the snowman a cozy new coat.
It appears the poor girl in the center of the page had a terrible accident… but that doesn’t stop her from skating away! 😉
Snowman Mini Sticker Scene
Along with the standard size sticker scene, there was also a cute “mini scene” this month featuring adorable snowman friends.
Accessorizing more snowmen.
“Kitty snowman” was definitely a favorite.
Simple Button Snowflake Ornament Craft
A festive, slightly glittery ornament craft that included little white button accents.
Placing the buttons on the self-adhesive foam pieces. — So easy!
Pretty!
3D Foam Winter Snowman Scene Craft Kit
An easy to assemble 3D winter scene featuring a snowman, penguin, trees, and some bird friends.
We noticed that there was a foam piece missing (a pile of “snow” in the middle), but you really couldn’t tell.
It still turned out cute. 🙂
Snowflake Glitter Mosaic
I’m slowly learning to manage my glitter phobia… These kits are always a favorite of my girls, so I just need to embrace the shimmery mess it makes.
Taking turns stickin’ on the colored dots.
A great team effort!
Winter Activity Set
A fun winter-themed activity set included an activity book, sticker sheet, and pack of four crayons. We decided to put this away to enjoy at another time.
January’s bag also came with a bunch of winter-themed “fun extras”!
Winter Stationery Set with a mini notepad, purple pencil, eraser, and pencil sharpener.
Stackable Snowflake Pencil, Snowflake Stickers, Snowman Stickers, Snowflake Stamp, and Stackable Snowman Pencil
My girls and I had so much fun with this month’s DoodleBug Busy Bag! They enjoyed completing all of the projects and they LOVED the cool bonus items. Such a fun surprise! 🙂 — If you’re interested in subscribing, upcoming themes include “Valentine’s Day” (February), “Easter” (March), and “Spring” (April).
