Let’s see what’s in the June 2017 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As always, all of the crafts were shipped in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
All of the crafts were listed on info sheet, along with photos and tips on how to complete each one. — June’s theme was “Father’s Day & July 4th” and included an assortment of fun “dad” and patriotic themed projects.
Popcorn Father’s Day Magnet Craft Kit
A simple popcorn-themed magnet craft that involved adhering the self-adhesive foam pieces to the appropriate places as shown in the instructions.
Putting each kernel in place.
So cute! 😀
Dad Glitter Foam Mosaic Sign Craft Kit
My daughter LOVES these mosaic kits, which is great — but I personally can’t stand all that glitter. It gets everywhere. I realize that with two preschoolers I should probably get used to having glitter dotted throughout the house, but nope… Ha. Glitter & I will never be friends.
The good thing about these mosaics is that it takes a LONG time to complete them, meaning it’s great for keeping kids occupied. 😉
All done!
Big Hand Father’s Day Ornament Craft Kit
Another easy craft that requires your child to simply adhere the self-adhesive foam pieces to one another to create the ornament as shown in the instructions.
Finishing up…
The completed ornament.
Craft Stick American Flag Craft Kit
This project included foam pieces as well, but also added some colored wooden craft sticks into the mix.
She was most excited about sticking on the little white stars. 🙂
The girls have already hung this up on one of our cabinet doors. 🙂
Patriotic Butterfly Glitter Mosaic Craft Kit
Another glitter mosaic. Needless to say, my kiddo was a lot more excited to see this than I was. 😉
After finishing the Father’s Day version, my mosaic lover was kinda burned out once it came time for the patriotic butterfly one.
I’ll give her a B for effort anyway.
Red/White/Blue Star Pony Bead Necklace Craft Kit
The girls were both really excited about this one… They always love the jewelry crafts and this one had way more beads than past kits. Oh, and star-shaped ones too — those were a huge hit.
I let her choose the pattern on her end, while I copied the same one on mine.
I think this is their favorite DoodleBug Busy Bags necklace to date! (Mine too!)
Patriotic Foam Glasses Craft Kit
A pair of foam & plastic star-shaped glasses for your child to decorate using the included glittery star stickers.
Okay, so I may have “misplaced” the glitter stickers and subbed in some multi-color un-glittery ones. 😉
Not quite as patriotic as what was intended, but a lot more tolerable to have around the house without the glittery mess. #glitterphobe
Patriotic Parade Sticker Scene
Make a festive 4th of July parade theme using the background sheet and stickers provided.
The stickers were a little hard for the girls to remove, so the parade attendees were sadly missing a limb or two. 😉
I can’t say that I would recommend attending this particular parade. Haha
A fun mix of Father’s Day and 4th of July crafts from DoodleBug Busy Bags! Though I could have done without so much dang glitter, my girls definitely enjoyed it all. 😉 — Upcoming themes include “In the Ocean” (July), “Let’s Go On a Safari” (August), and “Camping Adventure” (September).
