DoodleBug Busy Bags time! — The theme for March’s “bag” was Easter and my girls loved it!
If you’re new to them, DoodleBug Busy Bags is a fun subscription for little ones from Kidable Adventures (the company behind Little Thinker Box). Bags are aimed at children ages 3 through 9 and contain all of the materials needed to complete 4 to 8 fun crafts. Each bag will focus on a different theme, often relating to upcoming holidays or seasons. Monthly subscriptions are $15.99 and include free shipping.
Let’s see what’s in the March 2016 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As usual, all of the crafts were sent in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
March’s theme was “Easter” and all of the crafts were listed on the info sheet along with photos and tips on how to complete each one.
Funny Bunny Ornament Craft Kit – All 3 “funny bunnies” were so cute! I was sort of hoping we’d get the bearded one so the girl’s would say it looks like their daddy, but our mustached dude is cool too. 😉 This was an easy craft that involved simply adhering the foam shapes to the bunny head & attaching a loop to its back for hanging.
Carefully positioning his glasses.
The completed bunny! Poor guy lost his nose, but he’s still cute.
Peanuts Easter Necklace Craft Kit – This was a great craft for practicing the girls’ motor skills. I gave them each one side of the string, held the Snoopy pendant in the middle, and had them each string an equal amount of beads onto their side.
Bead stringin’. I didn’t get a photo of the completed necklace because Evie put it on as soon as it was done. 🙂
Easter Character Craft Stick Ornament – Subscribers could have received a bunny, chick, or lamb. All of them looked cute, so we were happy with the chick. I assumed we’d have to use glue when I saw the craft sticks, but it turns out that you just arrange them onto the self-adhesive part of the yellow circle to form the “head”. SO much easier than messing around with glue (and no drying time!).
Our wonky lookin’ lil’ chick!
Easter Bunny Foam Sign Craft Kit – Another easy foam craft that just involves placing the self-adhesive pieces onto the white Easter bunny.
Me: Do you want to put his ears on, Evie?
Evie: But… but he already has ears.
Good call, Ev. 😉
Crooked nose, crooked tail… but at least his bowtie’s on straight.
Easter Bunny Sticker Scene – Using the included stickers and background card, your little one can make a super festive Easter scene.
Yep. That’s super festive. 🙂
Big Head Easter Magnet Craft Kit – I personally thought the lamb was the cutest of the options we could have gotten, so I was happy to see him in our bag. He also came with a magnet, which I forgot to include in the photo.
Adding the all-important face.
Adorable! He’s already on our fridge. 🙂
Easter Egg Mobile Craft Kit – Foam crafts tend to eventually fall apart due to only being fastened together with adhesive, so I was happy to see that this kit came with actual string to link the mobile pieces.
Can you tell that I helped with the squiggly pieces, while the girls were in charge of the rest (namely the white stripes)? 😉
Bright Easter Egg Bracelet Craft Kit – As soon as the girls saw letters, they immediately wanted to do this project… Then as soon as it was completed they both wanted to wear it.
It turned out really cute! (Unlike that disintegrating Hello Kitty bow tattoo on Evie’s hand.)
Egg-citing Sticker Scene – Another ridiculously festive Easter-themed sticker scene to complete.
Ev is currently obsessed with carrots and took great joy in placing these particular stickers on her scene.
A big ol’ mess of Easter goodness. 😉
My girls and I really enjoyed this cute Easter-themed collection of crafts from DoodleBug Busy Bags! Their favorites were the bracelet and necklace, though they had fun with all of them. The crafts were all easy to complete, yet still yielded adorable results. 🙂
