Let’s see what’s in the November 2017 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As always, all of the crafts were shipped in a padded envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
All of the crafts were listed on info sheet, along with photos and tips on how to complete each one. — November’s theme was “Fall/Thanksgiving” and included an assortment of autumn & Thanksgiving-inspired projects.
Give Thanks 3D Tabletop Decoration Craft Kit
These 3D displays are always fun to make and nice to display. Just use the photo as a guide for where to place the self-adhesive foam pieces & 3D components into the stand.
Sometimes the sticker backing can be a little tricky to remove, but nothing too challenging. 😉
The end result!
Foam Fall Leaf Door Sign Craft Kit
A festive foam sign consisting of multi-colored leaves and the letters F-A-L-L.
She completed everything on her own by looking at the instructions, but had a little trouble with the string part. I wasn’t totally sure how it was supposed to go at first either, but we sorted it out.
It turned out pretty nice and is happily hanging in our kitchen. 🙂
Owl Thanksgiving Foam Magnet Craft Kit
These holiday-themed foam magnets are always easy to complete and look really cute on the fridge. (We have a nice collection growing on there!)
Placing the eyes, which she insisted on making wonky…
Aw. Poor lil’ guy doesn’t know which way is up.
Foam Ball Pumpkin Craft Kit
This adorable “pumpkin man” definitely has my vote for cutest project of the month. He was the first project completed and it was love at first sight (for all of us!).
Sliding on his “hair”.
Gah! Could he be any cuter?! <3
3D Pony Bead Pumpkin Craft Kit
For some reason, I thought this one looked a little daunting, so I enlisted my husband to help. My daughter strung all of the beads onto the pipecleaners, but he twisted them together and made the stem.
I didn’t take any “action” shots, but here’s the completed pumpkin!
Turkey Magic Scratch Ornament
A fun “scratch board” turkey for your child to design as they wished using the included plastic scratching tool (included, but not shown above).
They didn’t quite get the concept of adding details and went a little overboard with the scratching. 😉
This guy does NOT look happy. Haha.
Thankful for Friends Sign Craft Kit
A foam sign craft with sweet little woodland animals, as well as pumpkins and leaves aplenty. All of the pieces were self-adhesive and ready to apply.
She wanted all of the animals to hold something and was a little bummed when there were no acorns for the squirrel to hold. Aw.
Cuuuuute!!
Mosaic Glitter Turkey Sign
Okay, I think everyone knows how I feel about glitter by now… Needless to say, we saved this project for last. 😉
The girls worked as a team to put all of the little stickers in place in record time. I don’t have a photo of the end result, but it did look cute despite the (evil) glitter. 😉
As always, we enjoyed completing all of the festive crafts in our DoodleBug Busy Bag! Our favorites this month were the 3D tabletop decoration, beaded pumpkin, fall banner, owl magnet, and of course the adorable pumpkin man! 🙂 — Upcoming themes include “Christmas” (December), “Winter” (January), “Valentine’s Day” (February), “Easter” (March), and “Spring” (April).
