Ecocentric Mom time again!
If you’re unaware, Ecocentric Mom is a unique subscription box that features mom & baby products that are eco-friendly, natural, organic, and often vegan-friendly. There are 3 different box options to choose from. I (still) subscribe to the “Mom & Baby” box, but they also offer a “Mom-to-Be Box” and just a plain ol’ “Mom” box. They also recently announced a new “Ecocentric Box” for women in general (moms and non-moms alike!).
Subscriptions are $24/every-other-month, but they sometimes have discount codes available that are usually good for the life of your sub. (I was able to pick up a discounted subscription a while back and now my boxes are only $18/month.)
Let’s see what’s in the July/August 2015 Ecocentric Mom Box!
As always, everything is tucked beneath a layer of their signature pink tissue paper.
The info card (front & back) lists all of the items in the box, along with a brief description of each one. Also included are four fun (eco-friendly) ideas to banish summer boredom.
Moo Like a Cow! by Sarah Vince – Ecocentric Mom always sends the cutest, most colorful board books. It’s hard to tell from the first photo (easier to see in the last one), but there’s a built-in mirror on one of the pages that folds out and is visible throughout the book. As your child turns the pages, they can act out the animals sounds in the mirror. Fun!
Branch to Nature Thyme Facial Toner Spray – An all natural toner made with plant-based ingredients including thyme extract. The formula is both paraben and sulfate free. To use, simply mist your face before applying your makeup and you’re good to go.
NeatCheeks Flavored Fun Face Wipes – Gentle face wipes that are sweetened with all natural stevia. Kids won’t object to getting their faces cleaned if it leaves their lips tasting like candy, right? Right! This little package is perfect to bring along to restaurants for post-dinner clean up.
Square Hue Nail Polish – Square Hue is actually a nail polish subscription box (which I’ve reviewed a while back) and I’m totally a fan of their formula. All their polish is 5-free, vegan, and cruelty free. This purple shade is awesome and I’m actually wearing it as I type. 🙂
Ground 2 Table Organic Spices – Included were 3 different spice blends: Spice Blend 5 (salsa), Spice Blend 1 (all purpose), and Spice Blend 12 (cinnamon & spice). All blends are salt-free, sugar-free, and non-GMO.
Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn – Oooh! I love this popcorn. It’s the perfect combination of salty and sweet. I didn’t see this listed on the info card, so I guess it was just a little bonus item? I’ll take it!
Earthwise Beauty Tangerine Skies Facial Oil – I’ve been using facial oil/serums a lot lately, so didn’t mind seeing this little guy in the box. It’s an all natural oil made with plant-based ingredients including coconut oil, jojoba oil, and lemon balm oil. Oil oil oil!
Meliora K. Laundry Powder – I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten this brand of detergent in another subscription box a while ago. It’s chemical-free, dye-free, fragrance-free, and unscented. 2 packets were included.
I’m very pleased with all of the products included in the July/August Ecocentric Mom box. The book is adorable, I love the polish, the popcorn was delicious… I don’t think there’s one item that I won’t be using. (Well, maybe the toner just because a mist-on formula is a little foreign to me.) Overall, an awesome mix of products for both baby and mom.
