Time for another Ecocentric Mom box review!
If you’re unaware, Ecocentric Mom is a unique subscription box that features mom & baby products that are eco-friendly, natural, organic, and often vegan-friendly. There are 3 different box options to choose from. I (still) subscribe to the “Mom & Baby” box, but they also offer a “Mom-to-Be Box” and just a plain ol’ “Mom” box. They also offer an “Ecocentric Box” for women in general (moms and non-moms alike!).
Subscriptions are $24.95/month, or less with multi-month commitments. You can choose to receive boxes monthly or every-other-month. Shipping is free.
Let’s see what’s in the March/April 2016 Ecocentric Mom “Mom & Baby” Box!
As always, everything was tucked beneath a layer of their signature pink tissue paper.
The 2-sided info card lists all of the items in the box, along with a brief description of each one. Exclusive discounts are also included to use on future purchases.
Thumb-Things Fair Trade Finger Puppet ($2.99) – This silly little monkey finger puppet was handmade by a group of artisans in the Peruvian high plains. He was produced using fair trade practices that give the artists a fair wage for their work.
All Good Goop Healing Balm ($8.99) – All Good Goop is a healing balm made with all natural ingredients including extra virgin olive fruit oil, calendula, comfrey, and lavender essential oil. The gentle formula is great for cuts, scrapes, abrasions, minor burns, sunburns, insect bites, irritated skin, chapped lips, diaper rash, blisters, cracked or calloused hands, scars and more.
All Good Organic Coconut Oil Skin Food (sample) – A 100% natural moisturizer made with just 2 ingredients: organic unrefined virgin coconut oil and lemongrass essential oil. Lemongrass is one of my favorite scents so I’m looking forward to using this!
U-Konserve Food Kozy Snack Bag ($3.95) – A nice alternative to traditional (toss-able) plastic baggies, this reusable snack bag is easy to clean, dries fast, and prevents food seepage. It’s guaranteed free of PVC, BPA, phthalates, lead and other icky stuff. It features a velcro closure and is the perfect size for sandwiches and dry snack foods.
GoodLight Birthday Candles ($2.99) – These paraffin-free birthday candles are clean burning and non-toxic. They’re made with 100% palm wax and pure cotton wicks. Part of the sales from GoodLight candles are used towards the production of sustainable palm oil and to support 1% For The Planet.
Leap Organics Citrus Lip Balm ($3.49) – A cruelty-free lip balm featuring the sweet smell of orange blossoms. Ingredients include organic coconut oil, organic beeswax, organic shea butter, organic olive oil, and organic orange oil.
Mamma Chia Organic Chia Squeeze ($1.79) – I’ve tried these pouches a few times and I just can’t seem to get past the weird (chia seed-y) texture. I know they’re good for me though, so I make myself eat it. 😉
Mattole Valley Naturals Full Spectrum Herbal Greens No. 1 ($7) – A dietary greens supplement formulated with wild-crafted sea vegetables, blue green algae, chlorella, mature green papaya, aloe, antioxidant fruits and more. Mix a tsp into your beverage of choice and enjoy. I love adding stuff like this to my smoothies. 🙂
Another nice selection of eco-friendly products from Ecocentric Mom! I think we’ll use just about every item in the box, which doesn’t happy too often with any subscription. The total retail value of everything comes to a little over $31. Not bad. 🙂
