Ecocentric Mom time again! I still get the “Mom & Baby” box (for babies up to 18 months) because despite my girls almost being 3, I find myself using the majority of the products anyway.
If you’re unaware, Ecocentric Mom is a unique subscription box that features mom & baby products that are eco-friendly, natural, organic, and often vegan-friendly. There are 3 different box options to choose from. I (still) subscribe to the “Mom & Baby” box, but they also offer a “Mom-to-Be Box” and just a plain ol’ “Mom” box. They also recently announced a new “Ecocentric Box” for women in general (moms and non-moms alike!).
Subscriptions are $24/every-other-month, but they sometimes have discount codes available that are usually good for the life of your sub. (I was able to pick up a discounted subscription a while back and now my boxes are only $18/month.)
Let’s see what’s in the May/June Ecocentric Mom Box!
The info card (front & back) lists all of the items in the box, along with a brief description of each one. Also included are some tips for “finding more radiance, joy, contentment and overall well-being” as a mom.
A peek inside: That familiar hot pink tissue paper kept everything neatly tucked beneath.
Old MacDonald Had a Farm Board Book ($6.99) – I say this all the time, but I LOVE that they’ve been including board books. This one is adorable and features cut-out windows so you can see all of the animals peeking through on every page. The illustrations are cute, colorful, and full of farm animals — a perfect combo for little ones.
Weleda Calendula Cream Bath ($15.29) – An all-natural milk bath and wash that gently cleans baby’s skin without harsh chemicals. This is a nice, full size bottle and while we could use it for the girls, I think I’m going to add it to an upcoming baby shower gift. It has amazing reviews on Amazon though!
Simply 7 Hummus Chips & Quinoa Chips (~$2) – I’ve had the quinoa chips before and I really like them. You’d actually never know they were made with quinoa. The hummus ones are new to me, but I’m guessing they’ll be just as tasty.
Lillian Eve Nail Polish in “Ballet Slipper” ($12) – Oooh! Pretty! I love getting nail polish in subscription boxes. It actually doesn’t happen as often as I’d like, so I was happy to see this bottle. It’s a pretty pale pink that’s perfect for summer.
Nurturme Protein-Packed Quinoa Dried Baby Food (~$1) – Okay, now this I could do without. I think I’ve gotten a packet of food from this brand in just about every Ecocentric Mom box I’ve ever gotten. As always, I’ll just toss this one into a smoothie (my kids never liked these, even as infants).
Bella Organics Unscented Body Butter ($3.99) – I was a little skeptical of the $3.99 price point listed on the info card, but this .25 ounce sample actually does sell for that much on their site. Yeesh. That said, it IS made with just 5 organic ingredients and doesn’t contain any water, so a little goes a long way.
Goddess Garden Organics Sunny Face Natural Sunscreen (~$4.99) – I’ve gotten samples of this natural sunscreen before, but always in small foil packets. It’s nice to get a decent-sized 1 ounce bottle to throw in my bag.
Once again, I’m glad I stuck with the Mom & Baby option for the May/June Ecocentric Mom box. It had a perfect mix of products and the value was really impressive — roughly $46. Almost double the actual cost of the box!
