A peek inside!
A full-color newspaper style booklet provided details on all of the items included in the Fall 2019 FabFitFun box, along with style tips, interviews, and more.
Amika Strand Perfect Ceramic Styler ($80)
Subscribers were able to choose from the Amika styler above, a Plush Ultra Soft Plaid Scarf ($75 value), or an Anthropologie Travel Yoga Mat ($50 value). I went with the styler because as much as I like scarves, I already have a ton of them and I have zero use for the yoga mat. The styler features 100% solid ceramic plates that generate ionic, far-infrared heat, ensuring safe and even heat while preserving moisture and protecting the cuticle. It has a precise, adjustable temperature control ranging from 140ºF to 450ºF (60ºC to 232ºC) that guarantees one-pass styling to achieve exactly the look you want.
Kate Spade New York Lunch Tote ($30)
The second customization option allowed subscribers to choose from the lunch tote above, NassifMD™ Detox Pads ($45 value), Kut from the Kloth Slim Striped Wallet ($60 value), or a Twine Cheese Board with Plate ($30 value). I originally went for the vegan-friendly wallet, but switched to the tote when my husband gave me a cuter (and more functional) wallet for my birthday. The lunch tote is made of a coated linen cloth exterior in a black dot print with the phrase “out to lunch” printed in small black text. It has gold zipper pulls, a built-in handle, and insulated white interior. The size is ideal for light lunches or snacks, as it measures 8 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 4.5 inches tall.
Cosmedix Pure C ($54)
The third customization included the item above, THE BETTER SKIN CO. Lava Magik ($32 value), or BaubleBar Farah Ear Crawlers ($34 value). I honestly wasn’t too crazy about any of the options in this section, as I have zero need for them. In fact, I went with the Pure C crystals based solely on retail value. 😉 According to the description, these Vitamin C crystals help to neutralize free radicals, reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles and improve skin texture & tone. To use, simply mix a few “shakes” with your regular serum or moisturizer and apply as usual.
Skinvolve Body Boost Gel ($45)
The fourth customization option didn’t quite thrill me either. :/ It was a choice between the body gel above, an Eparé Dual Salt and Pepper Mill ($21.95 value), Afterspa Hair Towel Wrap ($18 value), or trèStiQue Mini Eye Essentials – Set of 4 ($48 value). Skinvolve Body Boost Gel promises to rev up the “lipolysis” (releasing of fat cells) in your skin to give you tighter, smoother skin, free of lumps and bumps. You’re supposed to massage it into slow-to-tone areas like lower stomach and inner thighs as a pre-workout activator. Sounds good, but I really don’t have faith in products like this. (But hey, that’s just me. 😉 )
Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Gold Eye Mask 6 Pack ($25)
The final customization was much like the others… All items I’d never personally use or just plain don’t need. Ah well. Subscribers were able to choose from the eye masks above, an Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Roller Ball ($29 value), or SKIN&CO Roma Truffle Therapy Face Toner ($30 value). I almost went with the roller ball, but I SO many aromatherapy rollers already. I make my own natural face toner, so that one was an easy pass. Ultimately, I went with the eye masks because I knew I could probably sell/swap them.
Note: ALL members received the following items.
Human+Kind Body Soufflé ($18)
Finally, something I can use! Okay, I do have quite the surplus of lotions/body creams, but I like that this one is labeled “vegan” right there on the front for all to see. 🙂 It’s also paraben-free, lightly scented, and a generous size (almost 7 ounces).
Aveda Damage Remedy™ Daily Hair Repair ($30)
This leave-in treatment helps protect the hair against breakage & thermal damage up to 450 degrees and instantly repairs the integrity of the hair’s surface. It’s made with 98% natural ingredients including quinoa and macadamia oil to help smooth strands so your hair looks and feels healthier than ever.
Harper + Ari Exfoliating Sugar Cubes ($16)
These exfoliating sugar cubes are enriched with aloe vera and shea butter to gently soften & smooth your skin. They have a nice, fruity scent and a single cube is enough to use for the entire body (focusing on rough spots). This isn’t something I’d normally use, but I’ll give them a try (I do love the scent!).
Clearly, the Fall 2019 FabFitFun box wasn’t the best match for me personally, but it was still a great value nonetheless. My favorite items this season were the Amika Ceramic Styler, Human+Kind Body Soufflé, and Harper + Ari Exfoliating Sugar Cubes. The total retail value of my (values differ based on your selections) Fall 2019 FabFitFun box was $298! — Remember — if you’d like to sign up for FabFitFun, you can save $10 on your first box (making your box just $39.99 shipped!) with coupon code “HARVEST10“!

Can I still purchase the box with the pink Amia flat iron?
