Let’s see what’s in the Summer 2019 FabFitFun Box!
The box itself is always beautifully illustrated by a different artist each season. — I’m diggin’ the tropical vibes on this one. 🙂
A peek inside!
A full-color newspaper style booklet provided details on all of the items included in the Summer 2019 FabFitFun box, along with style tips, interviews, and more.
Sutra Professional Marble Mini Travel Blow Dryer ($60)
Subscribers were able to choose from the mini hair dryer above, a Spiritual Gangster Robe Jacket ($60 value), a Vix Paula Hermany Lotus Towel ($50 value), or Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream & Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel ($45 value). I had never considered purchasing a travel hair dryer on my own, but as soon as I saw it as an option it was an easy choice. I’ve always been kind of leery about using in-room dryers provided by hotels (so many hands have been on ’em!) and this one is small enough to easily fit into just about any bag without taking up much room. It even comes with two attachments (that I’ll probably never use, but it’s still nice to have the option).
111SKIN Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask – Set of 5 ($160)
Another customization option, subscribers could have chosen the facial masks above, West Elm Indigo Tie-Dye Bowls ($39 value), a Summer & Rose Navy Diamond Tote ($50 value), or an xo, Sienna Keep Growing Black Felt Letter Board ($35 value). This one was a tough choice for me, but since I already have a letter board and didn’t really need the other items, I just went with the mask set because of its’ crazy high value. I’m not quite sure how a box of five facial masks can be worth $160, but I’m guessing it has something to do with the fact that it’s infused with real gold? Like many other facial masks, these claim to balance/brighten skin tone, moisturize, and reduce hyperpigmentation, fine lines & wrinkles.
Jennifer Zeuner Star Double Necklace ($50)
I wasn’t too crazy about the choices for this third customization option… It was either the necklace above, a set of Burn 60 Resistance Bands ($34 value), or an Odeme What A Pair Set of 2 Silicone Wine Glasses ($25 value). I wouldn’t have gotten any use out of the last two picks, so I chose the necklace. Made of stainless steel plated yellow gold, the dainty piece features a double chain choker with two tiny star charms. If it were silver, I would have been all about it, but I’ll probably gift this to someone who prefers gold jewelry.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More Luminizer Primer (Mystery Choice, $38)
Another set of customization options I wasn’t crazy about, I could have chosen an Eyeko London Eye Do Black Liquid Eyeliner ($22 value), Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream ($28 value), or a mystery item. Since I had no use for the first two items, I rolled the dice and chose the mystery option, which ended up being this Dr. Brandt luminizer primer. According to the product description, this illuminating primer blurs pores for a flawless, glowing complexion that can be worn with or without makeup.
Intelligent Nutrients Refining Micro Polish ($57)
Would you be surprised if I said I wasn’t thrilled about this final customization either? Ha. What can I say… I’m picky. 😉 It was either the micro polish above, Doctor Rogers Restore Healing Balm ($30 value), or Coola Organic SPF 30 Makeup Setting Sunscreen Spray ($36 value). Once again, I chose the item with the highest value. Formulated with plant jojoba beads — which are plant-based, biodegradable, and great for the skin — this unique refining polish works to gently sweep away dead skin cells and tighten pores, leaving you with a fresh smooth face.
Note: ALL members received the following items.
Generation Clay Ultra Violet Brightening Purple Clay Mask ($39)
This gentle purple clay mask is designed to effectively reduce free radical damage, lighten dark circles, reduce the appearance of pores, and revitalize dull, tired skin. Natural ingredients include witch hazel to extract excess oil, vitamin E to protect against free radicals, and desert lime to boost hydration, assists with the absorption of antioxidants and increase collagen production.
Grace & Stella Spray All Day Facial Rose Spray ($25.95)
It doesn’t show up the best in photos, but this facial spray arrived with a large “leak stain” on the box –meaning the bottle somehow opened/broke in transit. I didn’t bother to remove the plastic overwrap, since it was probably a bit messy inside. I’ll definitely be reaching out to FabFitFun to see about getting a replacement. As for the product itself, Grace & Stella’s Rose Facial Spray helps keep skin fresh and moisturized. It’s also great to use as a makeup setting spray or as a skin refresher throughout the day.
Whish Exfoliating Foot Mask ($32)
This cruelty-free foot mask is made with natural ingredients including extracts of willow bark, pumpkin seed, orange, lemon, and black leaf tea. For best results, apply to feet and leave on overnight. In the morning, rinse off to reveal smooth, soft skin. The formula is Leaping Bunny Certified & free of parabens, phthalates, and petrochemicals.
Invisibobble® Original Duo Pack ($16)
I recently started using these for my girls’ hair and I LOVE them. They hold the hair in place so much better than elastic hair ties and it gets a lot less tangled when taking them out. The Duo Pack contained a total of six Invisibobbles — 3 clear and 3 nude.
While the Summer 2019 FabFitFun was a little too skincare-heavy for me, it was still — as always — well worth the cost of the subscription. (I mean, the facial masks alone retail for $160!) My favorite items this season were the Sutra Mini Blow Dryer, Whish Foot Mask, and Invisibobbles. The total retail value of my (values differ based on your selections) Summer 2019 FabFitFun box was $477.95! — Remember — if you’d like to sign up for FabFitFun, you can save $10 on your first box (making your box just $39.99 shipped!) with coupon code “VACATION10“!
