Let’s see what’s in the Summer 2021 FabFitFun Box!
This quarter’s box was a bit larger than usual and featured a fun poolside design.
A peek inside!
A full-color magazine style booklet provided details on all of the items/variations included in the Summer 2021 FabFitFun box, along with style tips, interviews, and more.
Society6 Outdoor Blanket ($60 value)
The first customization allowed subscribers to choose from the outdoor blanket above, Summersalt x FabFitFun Neoprene Beach Tote ($80 value), Summer Fridays CC Me Serum ($64 value), Virginia Wolf Multi Wear Wrap ($68 value), PMD Clean ($99 value), Society6 Wine Chiller ($49.99 value), or L*Space Tie Dye Towel ($58 value). Initially, I wasn’t going to choose the blanket due to the funky 60’s color scheme/design, but it kind of grew on me and I figured it would be a nice item to have on hand for my kiddos. It features a water-resistant bottom and can be easily rolled up & secured with the sewn-in velcro strip. There’s also a built-in carrying handle to easily transport it to whatever adventures await. Full measurements are 50 inches by 70 inches.
Ouai Detox Shampoo + Scalp Massager ($40 value)
The second customization option allowed subscribers to choose from the shampoo bundle above, Draper James Ruffle Nightie ($48 value), Milly Jewelry Case ($60 value), Sonix Bluetooth Speaker ($45 value), Rae Dunn Guac/Salsa Bowls with two spoons ($40 value), Tarte Drink of H20 Moisturizer ($39 value), obé2 Hip Bands +2 Month obé Membership ($74 value), or Business & Pleasure Cooler ($59 value). This category was tough for me, as there were a few things I was interested in. I ultimately went with the Ouai Detox Shampoo & Scalp Massager due to my constant struggles with limp/lifeless hair. The shampoo features apple cider vinegar, which helps to deep clean the hair/scalp & remove dirt, oil, and buildup. I’ve always been curious about scalp massagers, so that was a nice bonus too. 🙂
Corkcicle 12 oz Wine Tumbler with Silicone Straw ($35 value)
The third customization options included the tumbler above, Living Proof Perfect HairDay™ Dry Shampoo ($26 value), BaubleBar Build Your Own Bracelet Kit ($50 value), AG Hair Re:Coil Curl Activator ($22 value), Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 ($34 value), Poolside Water Resistant Pouch ($35 value), Malin+Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturizer ($50 value), or Nectar Blue Light Blocking Glasses — Brown Tortoise Round-Eye ($45 value). This was another choice that I was torn on. I originally selected the Poolside Pouch, but then came to the realization that I drink a whole lot more than I swim so I went with the tumbler. 😉 Designed to keep beverages cold for up to 9 hours or hot for up to 3, this would be perfect for my morning coffee and afternoon ice water. I also love that it has a lid and cute matching silicone straw.
TF Publishing Co. Brain Teasers + Activity Book Bundle ($26 value)
The fourth customization was a choice between the activity books above, Scentuals Vitamin C Serum ($45 value), African Botanics Gold Shimmer Oil ($65 value), or Ciaté London Watermelon Dewy Setting Spray ($22 value). Do I really need a set of overpriced activity books? Nope. But I also knew I’d never use any of the skincare items, so the books were the only reasonable choice. Each one is filled with over 150 pages of crosswords, word searches, coloring pages, riddles, journal prompts, and more.
To The Market Melamine Printed Tray ($25 value)
The fifth customization was for annual members only (FabFitFun chooses for seasonal members) and was a choice between the melamine tray above, Mine Tan Body Skin Moisturizing Recovery After Sun Gel ($32.95 value), Mented Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick (Peachy Keen or Blood Orange or Blacker The Berry) ($20 value), SOAR Selfie Ring Light ($29.99 value), Flight Mode High Altitude Hydration Mask ($25 value), or Eparé Cutting Boards – Set of 4 (linked to similar, $19.95 Value). I’m not sure what separates this tray from one that you’d find at your local dollar store, but it’s cute nonetheless. The label does say that it was ethically made in India, so there’s that. 😉 It’s dishwasher safe and measures 12″ x 7.5″.
Verso Botanicals Super Eye Serum ($65 value)
The final customization had a LOT of options and offered a choice between the eye serum above, LashesMD Eyelash Conditioner ($69.95 value), Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion ($78 value), OLEHENRIKSEN PHAT Glow Facial Mask ($50 value), and a variety of “bundles” that you can see on my original spoilers post. When you hit a certain age, eye serums are a must… I’ve hit that age. 😉 Verso Botanicals Super Eye Serum features retinol 8 and promises to reduce puffiness, minimize dark circles, and make skin appear smoother and firmer.
The summer box also included a colorful sheet of summer/FabFitFun themed stickers.
The Summer 2021 FabFitFun box was one of those that seemed “just okay” as spoilers were revealed, but a lot more fun once I got it in my hands. 🙂 My personal favorites this season were the Society6 Picnic Blanket, Ouai Detox Shampoo/Scalp Massager, Corksicle Tumbler, and To The Market Melamine Tray. The total retail value of my (values differ based on your selections) Summer 2021 FabFitFun box was $251! — Remember — if you’d like to sign up for FabFitFun, you can save $10 on your first box (making your box just $39.99 shipped!) with coupon code “FAB10“!
