Let’s see what’s in the Winter 2019 FabFitFun Box!
The box itself is always beautifully illustrated by a different artist each season. — This is one of my favorites to date. So perfectly wintery!
A peek inside!
More wintery goodness. 🙂
A full-color magazine style booklet provided details on all of the items included in the Winter 2019 FabFitFun box, along with style tips, interviews, and more.
UnHide Lil’ Marshmallow Faux Fur Throw ($65)
Subscribers were able to choose from the UnHide Faux Fur Throw above, Kate Somerville® Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream ($65 value), R+Co TELEVISION Perfect Hair Shampoo + Conditioner ($64 value), Jonathan Adler Fleur De Sel Ceramic Candle ($48 value), or a Rebecca Minkoff Marled Beanie & Armwarmer Set ($70 value). While I don’t need anymore throw blankets, I couldn’t resist the allure of faux fur. Upon taking it out of the box, I was surprised by how heavy the throw is (plush 1000 gram weight) and also impressed by its incredible softness (SO snuggly!). The size is nice too, at 50″ by 60″. — Perfect for cozying up on the couch.
PJ Salvage Faux Fur Trim Cable Slippers in S/M or M/L ($45 value, linked to bootie)
The second customization option allowed subscribers to choose from the slippers above, a ban.do Bluetooth® Shower Speaker ($30 value), LashesMD Eyelash Conditioner ($69.95 value), or Erno Laszlo Pore Cleansing Clay Mask ($48 value). I wouldn’t have used any of the other options, so the slippers were an easy choice. I normally wear slippers that cover the whole foot (like the booties linked above), but these will be nice to quickly slip on & off. Plus, there’s more cozy faux fur! Yay for winter vibes. 🙂
Adore by Swarovski Organic Circle Bracelet in Rose Gold ($39 value)
The third customization included the bracelet above, Battington Lashes Monroe 3D Silk Lashes and Glue Kit ($32 value), Karuna Face For All Face & Eye Mask Set ($42 value), or Rodial Beauty Soft Focus Glow Drops ($55 value). I wasn’t sure which item to pick, but was curious how the bracelet would look in person. I’m not really a fan of rose gold, but I do like simple/delicate jewelry. That said, as pretty as it is (love the tiny Swarovski crystal detail!), I’ll likely be gifting this to someone who will enjoy it more than I.
LXMI Pure Nilotica Melt ($28 value)
The fourth customization was for annual members only and was a choice between the moisturizer above, Beauty Bakerie Proof is in the Puddin’ Palette ($38 value), Paper Source 12 Month Rose Floral Planner ($27.95 value), or Vooray Sidekick Crossbody Bag ($17.99 value). I was torn between the palette and the Nilotica Melt, but went with the latter because I have sooo many unopened palettes sitting around. The balm-to-oil formula is actually made with just one ingredient — nilotica nuts, a certified organic skin superfood harvested seasonally from 20-year old trees at the source of the Nile River. It can be applied as a salve to dry skin as needed, focusing on hands, feet, and anywhere on your body that needs a little extra moisture.
Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub ($16.95 value)
The final (annual subscriber only) customization was between the coffee scrub above, Vera Mona Color Switch Solo ($16.99 value), or AHAVA Salt Bag ($16 value). I wasn’t too psyched about any of choices, but went with the coffee scrub for gifting purposes. It seems to have a bit of a cult following, but a loose coffee-based scrub just sounds like it would leave be a big ol’ mess behind. No thanks. 😉
Note: ALL members received the following items.
Drybar Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler ($23 value)
My daughters both have super curly/wavy hair, so good detanglers are a must. I’m really picky about the kind of products I use on them, so I was happy to see that this contains no parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. It’s also cruelty free and has a nice light scent with notes of ginger, mint, and sandalwood.
MakeUp Eraser in Original Pink ($20 value)
I’ve gotten the mini version of this in a couple other subscription boxes, but this is the first “full size” one I’ve ever seen — and it’s HUGE! It does a crazy good job at removing stubborn eye makeup with only a couple swipes. All you need to do is wet a section with warm water and gently rub in a circular motion. When it starts getting too “dirty”, pop it in the washer and it’ll be good as new.
Cuccio Somatology Calm + Clean Hand + Body Wash ($39.95 value)
All subscribers received either the hand & body wash above OR Nails Inc. Thirsty Hands Hydrating Hand Mask Duo ($16 value) — chosen at random by FabFitFun. I was very thankful to have received the hand & body wash, since I have zero interest in using a hand mask. Plus, the value is significantly higher than the mask duo, which is kind of not cool if you received that instead. That said, I feel like using a $40 product as a hand wash is a bit of a waste, so I’ll likely be using this as a shower gel.
My Winter 2019 FabFitFun box was packed with cold weather essentials and self-care goodies. My favorite items this season were the UnHide Faux Fur Throw, PJ Salvage Slippers, Nilotica Melt, Drybar Detangler, Makeup Eraser, and Cuccio Somatology Hand & Body Wash. The total retail value of my (values differ based on your selections) Winter 2019 FabFitFun box was $277! — Remember — if you’d like to sign up for FabFitFun, you can save $10 on your first box (making your box just $39.99 shipped!) with coupon code “WINTERFUN“!
