Faithbox is a monthly subscription box that features inspirational quotes & scripture, actions to enrich your Christian life, and curated products from companies with positive missions.
Every box will include a daily devotional book with scriptures/quotes/seasonal prayers, as well as hand-picked products from companies and organizations “who respect God’s people and His creation”. All items will be ethically made, eco-friendly, and good for the soul. Also, every box purchased helps to feed a child in need through their “Rice Bowls” partnership.
Subscriptions are $20/month (plus $5 shipping) or less with multi-month commitments. (For a limited time, you can save 10% on your first box with coupon code “FALL15“.)
Let’s see what’s in the October 2015 Faithbox!
Everything was shipped in a brown box featuring the Faithbox logo on top and a scripture quote on the side.
A peek inside — I see a candle! Yay!
Everyday Faith October 2015 Devotional – Every box contains a little full-color devotional book packed with scripture quotes, prayers, writing prompts, and more. This month Faithbox has partnered with Jefferson Bethke and included his latest book as well as some of his favorite things. The end of the devotional book includes a few pages that detail the contents of October’s box.
It’s Not What You Think by Jefferson Bethke – This book, from the bestselling author of Jesus>Religion, compares the accepted thinking of Christianity with the world-changing message that Jesus actually brought. It’s actually not available on Amazon until 10/13, so it’s cool that they sent it before it was even released.
Claro Candle in “Faith” – Claro Candles was actually founded by the author of the book above. They’re handcrafted, all natural, and made with 100% soy wax. Each candle sold helps the world in a small, yet important way — by planting a tree, providing a meal to someone in need, sending a child to school, or supporting the rights of abused women. “Faith” is a limited edition scent that has a light, warm aroma that I can’t really describe. I like it though!
S.W. Basics Cocoa Lip Balm – An organic, cocoa-flavored lip balm made with just three ingredients: fair trade cocoa butter, coconut oil, and beeswax. S.W. Basics is based in Brooklyn, NY and makes all of their products from scratch using only whole, high-potency ingredients.
Kutoa Chocolate Espresso Bean Bar – These bars are great! They’re vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and delicious. They also donate a meal to a child in need for every bar purchased. Nice!
While I personally don’t follow a particular religion, I (surprisingly) really enjoyed October’s Faithbox! I love that they include items from eco-friendly and socially conscious companies. It also seemed to offer more high-quality, full sized-items than many of the other faith-based subscription boxes out there. Good stuff!
