Bestowed is a monthly subscription box that features healthy snacks & foods carefully chosen by nutritionist/author Heather Bauer.
Boxes are only $19/month (including shipping!) and contain a nice variety of different snacks, food items, and beverages to help you start or maintain a healthy lifestyle. There’s a nice lil’ code at the end of this post that’ll save you $9 on your first box (making it just $10!).
February’s Bestowed box focuses on products that will “help you find joy in healthy eating and living”. If you’ve resolved to eat healthier this year, and are already slacking, these snacks will help you stay on track.
R. W. Garcia MixtBag Yellow & Blue Corn Tortilla Chips – I’ve had chips by this brand before and they were super good (some kind of curry flavored ones). These are more traditional tortilla chips (flavor-wise) made with non-GMO yellow and blue corn, and seasoned with a little sea salt and lime.
Unreal “The Smooth One” Chocolate Bars – This is basically the healthier equivalent of a Milky Way Bar. Unreal chocolates are made without any artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. They also use non-GMO ingredients and are gluten-free. Oh, and they never contain corn syrup either. Though these current bars aren’t vegan, I heard that they’re actually working on dark chocolate, vegan-friendly bars! Woohoo!
Herbal Philosophy Feel Beautiful Tea – The herbs in this special blend of tea are supposed to “give your skin and your system a clean slate, making you feel beautiful inside and out”. It smells minty (due to the spearmint), but there are a ton of different herbs in here that all have unique “cleansing” properties.
Funley’s Wholly Granolly Clusters in Peanut Butter Pretzel & Double Chocolate Chip – These are kid-friendly all natural granola clusters made with whole oats. Each serving contains 10 grams of whole grains and only 120 calories. They contain no preservatives, trans fats, or high fructose corn syrup.
Bakery on Main Carrot Cake Oatmeal – I’m NOT a fan of instant oatmeal (as much as I wish I were), however I AM a fan of carrot cake. So maybe I’ll be into this? We’ll see. This has a healthy blend of gluten-free oats, flax, chia, and lotsa other good stuff. And no dairy. Yay!
Santa Barbara Bar in Coconut Almond – This nutrition bar is made with healthy ingredients including coconut, almonds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, and dates. It’s non-GMO, gluten/soy-free and contains no refined sugar.
If you’d like to try out Bestowed for yourself, they’re offering new members a great deal on their first box. If you click here and use the code “HELLOYUM11“, you’ll save $9 — making your first box just $10. Not bad! But hurry — offer ends 3/15/14!

Tweet me @herbphilosophy when you try Feel Beautiful Tea! You only need a teaspoon of herbs to make a fragrant cup. And as a vegan I’m sure you already know how powerful plants can be. I recommend adding a bit of coconut oil and raw honey! Hope you enjoy.
