I know I just posted a Conscious Box review a couple days ago, BUT this month I received a gluten-free box in addition to my regular vegan one. So I thought I’d share both so you can see the difference between the two. (I’m actually going to copy & paste the “repeat” items from the vegan post, so if you already read that one, you might wanna skip over the dupes.)
For those who aren’t aware, Conscious Box is a monthly subscription box that features eco-friendly/natural products. Items range from healthy snacks, to natural toothpaste, and everything in between. There are 3 different boxes to choose from: The Vegan Box (which I normally get), The Gluten-Free Box (this one), and the Classic Box. All boxes are $19.95/month, but you can almost always find a coupon code — often up to 50% off! (Psst… There’s a code for THREE free boxes at the end of this post.)
I’ve never gotten the gluten-free box before, so I was curious to see what was inside…
Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts – I love these! I’ve gotten these healthy little hemp seeds in other subscription boxes and was surprised by how much I enjoyed them. They’re a great source of plant-based protein and have lots of healthy omegas. I usually sprinkle them over granola, which gives it a little extra nuttiness. Mmm. Nutty.
Vital Choice Organic Super Antioxidant Trail Mix – This is a 2 ounce packet of 100% organic trail mix. It contains a variety of organic nuts, raisins, and other dried fruits. There’s no artificial additives or preservatives — just pure fruit & nuts.
Ultima Replenisher in Grape – I’ve gotten this in a ton of subscription boxes as well. I’m not sure that I’ve ever tried grape though (it’s usually lemon flavored). It’s a plant-based supplement to keep yourself hydrated after a workout or just during those hot & humid summer days.
Nakedwines.com Gift Card – I am SO sick of seeing these things. Just about every subscription box I’ve gotten has included this thing at some point (okay, I may be stretching a bit, but still… HATE it). I’m pretty sure you have to pay shipping and meet some minimum order requirements, plus it’s not valid in every state. If you wanna use the code, it’s all yours.
Glee Gum – I think I got this in a Love With Food box not too long ago. I love that it’s natural, but sadly, the flavor doesn’t last very long. Like, at all. It quickly feels like your chewing on a rubber band once the flavor’s gone too. Not a fan.
Yummy Earth Organic Lollipop – I got “Wet Face Watermelon”, which is kind of a creepy name, but it was good! I’ve had these before and I love that they’re made with organic ingredients and contain no artificial colors or flavors. I’ll definitely be giving these to the girls when they’re old enough.
*The rest of the items were also in the vegan box this month.*
Farmer’s Market Organic Pumpkin Puree At first I thought this was an odd choice for a sub box like this to include, but then I realized it made total sense. It’s all natural, organic, non-GMO… It’s a great inclusion! In fact, unlike some of the more “supplement-y” things they sometimes include, this will most definitely get used. Yay, pumpkin!
Crystal Body Deodorant Towelette – I’ve gotten these in other boxes before and think they’re a pretty neat idea. They’re convenient little wipes that function just like regular “stick” deodorant. They leave no messy white residue and are totally biodegradable.
Via Nature Lotion Samples – Two samples were included: Vanilla Coconut Moisturizing Lotion and Lavender Eucalyptus Soothing Lotion. Not a huge fan of foil packet samples in general, but they’ll get used.
Compared to the vegan box, I think I actually prefered the gluten-free one. There were a lot of duplicate items, but it seemed like there was just more “stuff” in the GF box. Though the toothpaste in the vegan one was full size, so maybe they even out in the end. Oh, and the gluten free box actually ended up being totally vegan too, which was pretty cool!
Wanna try Conscious Box out for yourself? You’re in luck, cos right now you can get your first box FREE when you click here and use the code “FREEONE” (just pay shipping)! OR you can get your first THREE boxes FREE when you click here and use the code “THREEFREE” (just pay shipping)! Awesome!
Disclosure: I purchased this box on my own. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post contains affiliate links.

Do you have to subscribe to the “3 Month” plan to use the THREEFREE code? I am trying that and it’s saying I owe $19.95 for the 3 months. Shouldn’t it be more like $15?
Wendy Rose
Yep. It’s $19.95 to ship all 3 boxes. 🙂
Amanda Schwartz
I used your 3 free code. I purchased the 3 month sub and my total was $19.95. Not bad for 3 months. 😉
Wendy Rose
Yay! 😀

I had a hard time deciding whether to get vegan or gluten-free. I wish they’d just make a gluten-free vegan box! I just ordered both though haha (couldn’t resist). SO EXCITED AHHH.
Wendy Rose
Yeah, I’m not sure why they don’t make a gluten-free vegan box, since this one totally was. Maybe they’ll introduce one soon… Hope you like your boxes! 🙂
Lolita
Those goodies are just tooo awesome.
Betty Leistner
I just ordered the three month subscription.
Wendy Rose
Awesome! Hope you like it! 🙂

when do these codes expire?
Wendy Rose
I’m really not sure! I think they just deactivate them whenever they decide to. 🙁

I got the classic March box “free” and I was really disappointed. It had only 2 full size bars that turned out to be not so healthy, 4 tea trials including beet cabbage -ack-, two granola trials and some itsybitsy samples including one gummy! My coupons were the wine one ($100 off $160), $2500 off a sauna (HA), diarrhea one, and one for one of the full size items…BUT it expired the day the box arrived!!! Check all your coupons! They also forgot a sample. I emailed about both issues and have not heard back. :/
Wendy Rose
Yeah, you kinda never know what you’ll get from month to month. One month could be awesome, the next… not so much. Such is life with sub boxes. 😉
Customer service sometimes takes a lil’ while to get back to you (I think they get way more emails than they can handle), but they’ve always been good about sending replacements/compensating your account with extra points.

I wanted to update.
I cancelled my subscription, but then they sent me another box. That’s when I found out that they had charged my credit card for another box before my trial had even arrived!!
My complaint was never responded to, and now I have to file another one with them and with my bank.
I wish I had checked the BBB- they have an F although they are not registered. They have tons of complaints online, and I found out that they delete many complaints on their FB page and then ban the commentors. Then they have family and friends and people who work there write positive ones. I am absolutely livid. Why would I want to pay $19.95 for a box that has only two full size items worth less than $2 that I can find at Walmart? :((
Stacy
Yeah, I had so many problems with them, even a year after I canceled! I could never get anyone to respond to me either. Oh well, lucky for me I had to get a new debit card anyway so they finally stopped charging me. They still sent me about six or seven months after I changed my debit card, so I figured in the end it sort of balances out. But I was so disappointed with how hit and miss the boxes were. There are so many better vegan boxes out there why even bother with this one?

This company has a LOT of growing to do! Their billing practices are ridiculous and customer service seriously lacking. Bummer!
