From the Lab is probably the most unpredictable subscription box around — in terms of when/how often it ships. It’s supposed to be a monthly box, but this is only the third one I’ve received since February. Very bizarre indeed.
If you’re new to them, From the Lab is a monthly beauty box that sends you luxury brand beauty products at a drastically lower cost — months before they’re released to the US market. They source their products from some of the same beauty labs that luxury brands develop their lines in. However, they’re able to offer them at a much lower cost because they don’t do extensive marketing campaigns or worry about pretty packaging. This also allows them to get the products to you as early as 18 months before they hit store shelves.
All of the products offered by From the Lab are held to strict European safety standards and are fully tested and approved before being accepted by them. All of the formulas are also cruelty/animal-free (yay!) and contain only clean ingredients. They’re also gluten-free! Each shipment will contain a 30-day supply of 1 to 3 skin care, hair care, or cosmetic items. Boxes are $19.95/month (plus shipping), or less with longer commitments.
Let’s see what’s in the November 2015 From the Lab box!
The first look was actually kind of funny… All those paper squigglies surrounding that one tiny product.
A two-sided info sheet provided details about this month’s featured product — a Single Drop Anti-Stress Care Treatment.
Directions for use — along with the full ingredient list — were printed on the back.
From the Lab Single Drop Anti-Stress Care Treatment No. 582 (est. value $80+) – I was actually a little surprised to see another serum-type product, since that’s pretty much what they included in their last box as well. I guess it’s not a big deal though, considering how expensive serums tend to be. Anywhooo… This is made with three “technologically-advanced ingredients” that together help to smooth, moisturize, and firm the skin. The concentrations are so effective that you only need to use one single drop to cover your entire face. Just press the button on the specially designed bottle to release just the right amount of product every time. Easy! You can apply it before bed, or in the morning prior to putting on your makeup.
I wasn’t exactly “wowed” by October’s From the Lab box, mainly because I received such a similar product in their last box. That said, it definitely sounds like a nice serum and I’ll totally try it when my current one runs out. Plus, it sells for $39.95 in the From the Lab shop, with an estimated retail value of $80+. Not bad!
If you’d like to sign up for From the Lab, they’re currently giving new members a FREE $5 credit to use towards anything in the shop! No coupon code necessary, just click here.
