Time to get saucy again with Fuego Box!
Fuego Box is a hot sauce club that introduces you to a new selection of sauces every month. When you subscribe, you’ll receive the best artisanal/small batch hot sauces on the market. Instead of focusing on gimmicky labeling or straight up crazy heat, they instead choose the most dynamic flavors with just the right amount of hotness.
Subscriptions are available monthly and quarterly, with the choice of 1 or 3 bottles per box. Prices start at $12.95/month. When you choose the 3-bottle monthly option, your first box will include 2 sauces and a mini-tasting notebook. Every box after will contain 3 full bottles.
Let’s check out the March 2016 Fuego Box!
As always, the bottles were shipped in a bright red box protected by a bubble mailer to ensure that everything stayed in tact during transit.
A peek inside! Saucy!
An info card listed all of the sauces, as well as a little background info on each one and suggestions on how to best enjoy them.
Born to Hula Smokehaus Blues – I love when a hot sauce (or anything, really) has a handy little “vegan” symbol on its label so I don’t have to question the ingredients. I also love sauces with a smokey flavor, which Smokehaus Blues is said to have. The info card states that it can also be used as a substitute for BBQ sauce. Heck yeah!
Red Robot Classic Hot Sauce – This all natural hot sauce was designed to complement the flavors of your food, not overpower them. Its ingredients include flame-roasted jalapeños, garlic, sweet onion, and cilantro. Try it on pizza, eggs, chicken, or any other dish that could use a boost of flavor.
Dragon’s Blood Elixir Hot Sauce – Made in Northeast Connecticut, this sauce is handcrafted in small batches using as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. It features a blend of fire roasted salsa, apple cider, CT grown red habanero peppers, balsamic vinegar, and more.
Another nice selection of sauces from Fuego Box! While they all sound good, I’m really looking forward to trying the Born to Hula Smokehaus Blues. Smokey and BBQ-y? Yes, please! 🙂
