September 2016 Fuego Box review time!
Fuego Box is a hot sauce club that introduces you to a new selection of sauces every month. When you subscribe, you’ll receive the best artisanal/small batch hot sauces on the market. Instead of focusing on gimmicky labeling or straight up crazy heat, they instead choose the most dynamic flavors with just the right amount of hotness.
Subscriptions are available monthly and quarterly, with the choice of 1 or 3 bottles per box. Prices start at $12.95/month. When you choose the 3-bottle monthly option, your first box will include 2 sauces and a mini-tasting notebook. Every box after will contain 3 full bottles. — For a limited time, you can save $10 on your first box with coupon code “AMIGOS“!
Let’s check out the September 2016 Fuego Box!
As always, the bottles were shipped in a bright red box protected by a bubble mailer to ensure that everything stayed in tact during transit.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the sauces, as well as a little background info on each one and suggestions on how to best enjoy them.
Volcanic Peppers Aleppo Pepper Sauce – A flavorful, yet mild sauce made with the unique, highly sought after aleppo chile pepper. It’s packed with black pepper, onions, & garlic and goes well with grilled hamburgers, lamb, seafood, green beans, or anything else that could use a little kick.
Butterfly Bakery of Vermont Cilantro Onion Hot Sauce – Hailing from Vermont, this mid-level-heat hot sauce features 100% locally grown peppers, cilantro, and jalapeños. Its’ flavor is versatile enough to be used on just about anything including beans, tacos, chicken, and brown rice. Unfortunately, I don’t enjoy the flavor of cilantro or onions, so I’ll have to pass on this one. 😉
Bravado Spice Co. Crimson Hot Sauce – I can’t help but love when a hot sauce (or anything, really) includes a “100% vegan” symbol placed prominently on the front of their label. An award-winning sauce out of Houston, TX, this spicy blend consists of just six all natural ingredients: Arbol chilis, red jalapeños, vinegar, garlic, sea salt, and sugar. Try it on ramen, fajitas, pho, fried chicken, and more.
Yet another nice batch of artisan-made hot sauces from Fuego Box! Remember — for a limited time, you can save $10 on your first box with coupon code “AMIGOS“!
