Time for my July 2016 My Geek Box unboxing!
If you’re not aware, My Geek Box is a monthly geek/gamer subscription box based out of the UK. Each box will feature a limited edition t-shirt, along with 4 to 7 other geek-inspired goodies. Items can include collectible figures, books, wearables, mugs, keychains, toys, comics, and more. They also offer a Pop! and a Top box that includes a t-shirt and mystery Funko Pop! vinyl figure, as well as My Geek Box Kids that features more kid-friendly geek & gamer items.
My Geek Box subscriptions are $26.09/month (plus $3.99 shipping), or less with multi-month commitments. — For a limited time, you can get free shipping on your first box. (No coupon needed.)
Let’s see what’s in the July 2016 My Geek Box!
The big blue box!
A peek inside. — As always, there wasn’t any kind of info card/booklet included, so I’ll just jump right to the goods!
“GEEK” T-Shirt – July’s t-shirt featured the word “GEEK” done in the style of the Sega logo. It’s printed in bright blue & white over a solid black background. The perfect statement shirt for all the self-proclaimed geeks out there. 🙂
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mug – A big ol’ ceramic TMNT mug featuring Michelangelo lookin’ all crazy with crossed eyes and his tongue out. He even comes with a lid to help keep your beverages hot… Something you don’t see in too many mugs. Unfortunately, he came with a bit of a chip on the handle, as shown in the photo above. Not a huge deal, but it’s there.
Super Mario Mini Figure Collection Bowser – The Amazon reviews on this guy were pretty funny… Lots of moms complaining about accidentally stepping on him and the immense pain caused by his spikes. If you know anything about Mario Bros, you know you don’t wanna mess with Bowser! 😉
Power Rangers Super Megaforce Series 2 Mega Bloks – A blind bag holding one Series 2 Power Rangers Super Megaforce figure. There are 8 in all to collect.
Jupiter’s Legacy 2 Issue 1 – I don’t know anything about comics so…. Um, here’s a comic? 😉 While I don’t personally mind and it arrived in good condition, I’m not sure why they don’t send their comics in protective sleeves. (Don’t they come with one, or am I off on that assumption?)
While this wasn’t my favorite My Geek Box to date, it definitely included some fun franchises. I think it felt a little more geared towards younger kids this time around, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. — Remember if you’d like to subscribe, for a limited time you can get free shipping on your first box. (No coupon needed.)
