July 2018 Gentleman’s Box review time!
If you haven’t heard, Gentleman’s Box is a men’s subscription box that delivers a monthly selection of essentials designed for the modern gentleman. Each box will consist of 4 to 6 hand-selected products for men, accompanied by a one-year subscription to GQ magazine (US and Canada only). To pay homage to the iconic men of the world, a new gentleman is selected as each month’s theme. The products inside each Gentleman’s Box are picked to reflect the class and style of that month’s featured individual. Items can include wardrobe accessories such as ties, cufflinks, pocket squares, & socks, as well as grooming supplies like lotions, cleansers, and fragrances.

Everything was shipped in a small red box with an allover Gentleman’s Box logo design.
A peek inside!
An info booklet let subscribers know which “iconic gentleman” was being honored in July’s box (spoiler:Mark Wahlberg!). The booklet was also loaded with plenty of information including product info, style inspiration, summertime skin protection, and more.
Gentlemen of the North Tie ($39)
This 100% cotton tie features a red and blue color scheme — making it ideal for patriotic American holidays and beyond. Gentlemen of the North believes in giving back and for the month of July they’re donating a portion of every sale to “Lay-Up Youth Basketball”, an organization that sends underprivileged youths to summer basketball camps. Nice!
Lock Step Apparel Socks ($12)
Classic stripes — in alternating navy and red — cover the length of these light blue socks. They’re not quite as soft as other brands I’ve received from Gentleman’s Box, but they do seem nicely made and sturdy. They’re composed of a cotton, polyester, spandex, and nylon blend.
Soft Landing Pocket Square ($15)
This 100% cotton pocket square features a baby blue and white color scheme in an allover polka dot (ish) pattern. The perfect accessory to tie your look together and look polished.
Honorable Beast Passport Case ($25) and Luggage Tag ($15)
Two stylish travel accessories from Honorable Beast were included in July’s box: A brown leather passport case and a matching luggage tag. The passport case opens up to house your documentation and other important cards, while the luggage tag allows you to indicate ownership via a plastic window and easily attaches to your bag with a buckle closure.
East of Liberty Body Lotion (sample size)
The info booklet actually specifies a body wash in the product description, but I received a body lotion (which was also shown in the photo). My husband regularly uses both, so either product would have been a win. 🙂 This lotion is naturally scented and designed for all skin types.
