Giving Tree Box is a monthly subscription box that sources their products from small businesses throughout the US, while also supporting various charities.
Each box will include 10-12 high-quality items — all produced by small businesses that focus on giving back to their communities. The items are customized to your likes/preferences based on a personality survey you’ll be prompted to complete upon subscribing. Items can include candles, chocolate, personal care products, snacks, jewelry, books, homemade crafts, and more. Plus, the Giving Tree Box donates 10% of all purchases to a different charity each month!
Disclosure: Box was received for review. Post may contain affiliate links.
Subscriptions are $39.95/month with free shipping within the US. Seasonal and one-time gift boxes are also available.
Let’s see what’s in my November 2020 Giving Tree Box!
Everything was shipped in a small brown box with the Giving Tree Box logo printed in green.
A peek inside!
An envelope included additional info and discount codes for some of the businesses featured in November’s box.
Simply Spa Pumpkin Pie Body Scrub
Mmm! — This scrub smells like autumn in a jar! I don’t normally use body scrubs, but I’m definitely going to make an exception for this one. π Not only is the scent amazing (like sweet pumpkin pie!), but it also exfoliates your body to remove dead skin cells while hydrating it to keep the skin moisturized and polished. Ingredients include sucrose, sea salt, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, grapefruit seed oil, and Vitamin E oil. I can’t wait to try this!
Resin Leaf Magnet
Speaking of fall… How festive is this handmade sparkly leaf magnet? It’s made of clear resin with what looks to be brown, orange, and gold glitter. I’m usually not a glitter fan, but in this case I’m all for it since it’s all trapped inside the resin and has zero chance of ending up on my hands. Woo!
Dark Chocolate Chip Yes Bar
Giving Tree Box asked if I had any dietary restrictions/preferences before sending the box and I mentioned being a long-time vegan. I wasn’t sure if they would actually have any vegan-friendly snacks/products at the ready, so I was excited to find this bar included in my box. π I had never heard of Yes Bar and it sounded delicious, so I tore it open shortly after taking the photo above. And yes, delicious it was. The texture was like a soft/chewy granola bar and it was loaded with yummy ingredients including almonds, cashews, dark chocolate, organic cinnamon, vanilla, and maple syrup. So good!
Coffee Scented Candle
I’m a regular coffee drinker and I love scented candles, so I thought this was going to be one of my favorite items in the box. Sadly, it just didn’t do it for me. I’ve gotten other coffee-scented candles before and they all seem to have the same odd, not-so-coffee-like scent. My husband said it smelled more like burnt coffee, which isn’t exactly the most pleasant scent… Ah well. I did notice that they also have white pumpkin & lavender scented candles in their shop and I’m willing to be those are a LOT more pleasing to the nose. π
Sunflower Food Company Farmer’s Popcorn Cob
I’ve always wanted to try one of these popcorn cobs! Instead of using loose kernels, you can just toss the whole cob in the microwave (using the included bag to hold the popped corn). It consists of 100% natural Kansas-grown, non-GMO corn with no additives or preservatives. This will be a fun way to prepare the popcorn for our next family movie night. π
Simply Spa Relaxing Blend Shower Steamer
I always tend to save shower steamers for a “special” occasion… But then I forget I even have it because what IS a special occasion that would call for a shower steamer anyway? Ha! That said, I fully intend on using this one TONIGHT. Designed to promote relaxation, it features the soothing scents of lavender & chamomile and is topped with real lavender buds.
Tea Drops
Tea Drops are organic pressed teas that fully dissolve right in your cup. Theyβre made with USDA organic tea, spices, and lightly sweetened with raw sugar. Just pop one in a cup, add boiling water, and drink up! Two different flavors were included — Aloha Pineapple Chamomile and Matcha Green Tea.
Pure Sugar Candy Creamsicle Candy Cubes
These tiny candy cubes are packed with flavor and have just 2 1/2 calories per piece. They’re gluten free, fat free, and made in a nut-free facility. I’m think I’ll save them to savor in the car while waiting for my kiddos to get out of school. π
Pumpkin Patch Sticker
There were no markings on this sticker, so I’m not sure if it was made in-house or sourced from another small business. Either way, it’s perfect for the autumn season and measures roughly 3 1/2 inches long by 2 inches high.
ChipMonk Chocolate Chipmonk Cookie
Another vegan-friendly cookie! This one is keto-friendly, gluten-free, and contains no added sugar. Key ingredients include almond flour, allulose, coconut oil, chocolate chips, chia seeds, golden flax meal, and psyllium husk powder. Each serving has just 2 grams of net carbs, 1 gram of sugar, and 4 grams of both protein & fiber.
Countryside Adult Coloring Page
At the very bottom of the box was an adult coloring page with a “countryside” theme. It was printed on a thick, almost cardstock type material which made it feel more substantial than a standard copy paper printout. I don’t have much time to sit and color these days, so this will be passed along to my girls.
Giving Tree Box Magnet
The final item was a Giving Tree Box magnet. I don’t particularly need any more “business-related” magnets, so I’ll pass this along to my kiddos to put on their magnetic art cart.
I really enjoyed my November 2020 Giving Tree Box! I love that they source all of their products from smaller businesses and cater their boxes to your specific likes/preferences. My favorite discoveries were the Dark Chocolate Chip Yes Bar, Simply Spa Pumpkin Pie Body Scrub, Sunflower Food Company Farmer’s Popcorn Cob, and Simply Spa Shower Steamer. Such a fun box with a great mission! π
