Let’s see what’s in the April 2018 Glitter Crunch Box!
Everything was shipped in a bacon themed box with the Glitter Crunch Box logo on top.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the items included in April’s Glitter Crunch Box, which was “Bacon & Egg” themed.
Joy to the World Exclusive Pig with Fried Egg Bandana Ornament ($52)
April’s exclusive ornament was a sweet little pink pig with a blue “fried egg” bandana tied around its neck. As a longtime vegan, I can’t say that I love the “bacon and eggs” connection, but the pig itself is cute nonetheless. As with all Joy to the World pieces, it was crafted by Polish artisans using a process that takes 7 days to complete.
Bacon Strips Ornament ($35)
Again, not exactly an ornament that a vegan would want to receive, but it’s certainly a beautifully made piece. Like the first ornament, this was also handcrafted in Poland with plenty of attention to detail. The colors used were the perfect choices for realistic bacon and the addition of fine red glitter makes it look like it’s still sizzling.
Concrete Hatched Egg Pot ($12)
Aw, how cute is this “egg” pot? It’s made of smooth concrete with a flattened bottom and can be used as a planter, tea light holder, or simply as a quirky decoration. I’m still not sure if I want to go the plant route, or candle holder. I do think it was clever to include two yellow tea lights to represent the egg’s yolk. 😉
Curley Tail Candied Bacon ($18 for both)
Welp, I don’t think I need to say how I personally feel about this product. 😉 To be fair, Glitter Crunch Box did contact me prior to sending the box to make sure I was okay reviewing something that contained animal products. And while I don’t love when subscription boxes include meat, I do understand that I’m in the minority and I’ve got plenty of family members that are more than willing to take non-vegan products off my hands. With that out of the way… Each of these boxes contain 3 pieces of fully cooked, ready to eat bacon. Two flavors were included — Sweet Brown Sugar and Smoked Habanero.
Two Left Feet Sunny Side Up Socks ($12)
Socks! I honestly can’t remember the last pair of socks I bought for myself, since I get so many in subscription boxes. The funkier the better, and these ones certainly fit the bill. I’ll just tell myself the eggs are actually some sort of amoeba to make them more vegan-friendly. 😉
While I wasn’t too stoked about the theme this month, I still enjoyed receiving my Glitter Crunch Box. In fact, I absolutely LOVE my new “egg” candle holder/pot and funky socks. The bacon ornament will make a great gift for one of my meat lovin’ family members, as will the actual bacon itself. Overall, the value this time totaled just under $130! 😀 — Remember, for a limited time, you can save $20 on your first box (of a month-to-month plan) with coupon code “WELCOME20“!
