GlobeIn time! February’s theme is “Rise & Shine” and features unique items ideal for a leisurely breakfast.
If you’re not aware, GlobeIn is a monthly subscription box that features handcrafted goods by artisans around the world. Each month features a new theme with products supplied by various artisans.
GlobeIn helps to bring income and exposure to small artists, while introducing you to beautiful pieces of their culture. Many of the products included are eco-friendly, fairly traded, and/or organic. Subscriptions are $35/month (shipping included), or less with multi-month commitments. — You can save 25% on your first month with any 3-month or longer subscription with coupon code “WELCOME“.
In addition to their standard Artisan Box, they also offer a smaller Benefit Basket for just $19.95/month. Every Benefit Basket includes one artisan-made item, along with a handwoven palm leaf basket. (You can see February’s Benefit Basket review here.)
Let’s see what’s inside the February 2016 GlobeIn Artisan box!
The box! This is the first month that I can remember where the box wasn’t square… It was a lot larger too!
A peek inside!
A little info booklet featured full color photos and background information on all of the products included in the box, as well as the artisans who created them.
Olive Wood Spatula from Le Souk Olivique Tunisia ($10) – This beautiful spatula is made of olive wood and is finished with a special blend of mineral oil, paraffin wax, and beeswax. It has an incredibly smooth feel to it and is a unique, yet functional addition to any kitchen.
Olive Wood Spreader from Le Souk Olivique Tunisia ($7) – As with the spatula above, this olive wood spreader is beautifully finished and super smooth to the touch. It’s perfect for spreading butter, jam, cheese, or anything… spreadable.
Block Print Trivet India ($10) – This 100% cotton trivet features ornately designed block printed artwork. Indian artisans carve patterns into wood and use them to as stamps to dye the fabric. Throughout the process the color changes, giving each trivet a unique hue.
Argan Almond Butter Morocco ($15) – A unique almond spread made with Moroccan culinary argan oil, roasted crushed almonds, and clover honey. I’m a big fan of plain almond butter, so I’m curious to see how this argan oil & honey combo tastes.
GlobeIn Signature Palm Leaf Basket Mexico ($12) – As always, the box included a handwoven basket made of discarded palm leaves that can take hours to hand-weave. I was kinda hoping to get another square one (like I received in this month’s Benefit Basket), but this one’s cool too. I love the bold blue color!
Another nice selection of artisan goods from GlobeIn! All of the items were practical and useful to just about anyone. (Well, except maybe those with nut allergies. 🙁 ) The total value this month was roughly $54, so a good value as always. 🙂
If you’d like to sign up for the GlobeIn Artisan box, you can save 25% on your first month with any 3-month or longer subscription with coupon code “WELCOME“.

Got mine today. My spatula was different – it’s more angled, like to flip pancakes etc – was expecting one that was straight like yours but anyway. Love your blue basket. I got a purple one like I got last month – love the baskets. I also prefer your trivet color – I got a dirty orange almost solid colored one. Wish they did all the baskets exactly the same or at least gave choice of colors…. I do like it though 🙂

That’s odd… I thought all of the boxes/items would be the same. Good to know! 🙂
