Let’s see what’s inside the July 2019 “Sizzle” GlobeIn box!
Everything was shipped in a square pink & white box with the GlobeIn logo on the side.
A small info booklet featured full color photos and background information on all of the products included in the box, as well as the artisans who created them.
Moroccan Mezze Plate, Morocco ($50)
This colorful handcrafted mezze plate was designed by Moroccan artisans just for GlobeIn subscribers. The hand-painted piece is made of glazed ceramic and measures 10.5 inches in diameter by 1.5 inches high. It features a pretty blue, pink, and yellow color scheme that’s perfect for summer entertaining. Bonus: It’s dishwasher safe too!
Bamboo Food Tent, Vietnam ($30)
I’ve always thought these “food tents” were a smart idea, but never thought to purchase one of my own. Made out of bamboo and synthetic netting, this domed tent is the simplest way to keep pesky flies (and other critters) out of your food when entertaining outdoors. The piece was handcrafted by Vietnamese artisans and measures about 9 inches by 13 inches in size.
Chindi Handle Bread Basket, India ($20)
I think this is one of the thickest/sturdiest baskets I’ve received from GlobeIn and I love it! Crafted by a small group of female artisans in Northwest India, this 10″ x 7.5″ x 3.5″ bread basket is made using sustainable jute fibers that are woven together. Upcycled cotton scraps are wrapped around the handles for a fun pop of color.
Stainless Steel Spreader – White, India ($10)
Ideal for soft foods like cheese and hummus, this 8″ spreader is a nice addition to your summer appetizer spreads. It’s made of stainless steel with a sleek white handle to easily blend with any color scheme.
Ukava iAfrica Hot Drops Mild Four Chili, South Africa ($13)
I’ve received a LOT of hot sauce in subscription boxes, but this bottle is by far the most unique one to date. Handmade in South Africa using Fair Trade grown peppers, this spicy sauce was inspired by the flavors of Africa and is even decorated with beads & tassels that mimic the neck adornments worn by traditional African women. So neat!
July’s “Sizzle” themed GlobeIn box included a nice assortment of artisan-made goods to add a little eccentric flair to your summer get-togethers. My favorite pieces were the bamboo food tent, handled bread basket, and African hot sauce. 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can save $10 on your first Premium box with coupon code “WELCOME“!
