Let’s see what’s inside the September 2019 “Amore” GlobeIn box!
Everything was shipped in a square pink & white box with the GlobeIn logo on the side.
A peek in the box!
A small info booklet featured full color photos and background information on all of the products included in the box, as well as the artisans who created them.
Personal Pizza Board, Thailand ($40)
This beautiful handcrafted personal pizza board is made from acacia wood, which is native to Thailand. Not only do the artisans responsible for creating these make every piece by hand, but they also take time to replant trees in their local forests to ensure that they’re never depleted. The sturdy board measures 8 inches in diameter, or 12 inches long with the handle. It also features a handy loop for hanging.
Marinara Sauce Spoon, Morocco ($25)
So I definitely assumed this piece was a spoon rest when I first pulled it out of the box — and will likely use it for that purpose. Turns out, it’s actually a marinara sauce spoon. I don’t think I’d feel too comfortable using a 11-inch long ceramic spoon for doling out sauce, but I do appreciate the craftsmanship that went into creating it. Thanks to its crisp white and bold red color scheme — coupled with the fact that the design almost resembles a snowflake, I think I’ll be deeming this my “Christmastime spoon rest”. 😉
Bicycle Pizza Cutter, India ($20)
How fun is this bicycle-shaped pizza cutter?! I wasn’t expecting to find something so quirky in a GlobeIn box, but I love it! The wheels are made of stainless steel, though I’m not sure what the bike body is (definitely some type of metal). We currently have only one pizza cutter in our house, which can sometimes be annoying when we do pizza night and my husband uses it to cut his non-vegan pizza first (the nerve! 😉 ). Now we can each have our own. Yay!
Palm Leaf Tortillero Flatbread Basket, Mexico ($16)
These signature baskets are included in many GlobeIn boxes and are woven entirely by hand. Each one can take hours to complete! This particular one is much shorter and wider than their standard baskets and measures approximately 8″ in diameter by 2.5″ tall. I have a nice variety of these baskets scattered around our house, holding everything from hair accessories to essential oils.
Spice Grinder – Cape Garden Herbs, South Africa ($12)
Mmm… I can smell these spices without even opening the bottle! The fragrant blend contains a mix of sea salt, white pepper, rosemary, green peppercorns, basil, oreganum, and sage. It even has a built-in grinder for the freshest possible flavor. I can’t wait to try this mixed with olive oil as a dip for fresh bread. Yum!
I really enjoyed September’s “Amore” themed GlobeIn box. We make a LOT of pizza in this house, so these items will definitely come in handy. My favorite pieces were the personal pizza board, bicycle pizza cutter, and herb blend. 😀 — Remember, for a limited time you can save $10 on your first Premium box with coupon code “WELCOME“!
