My Glossybox actually arrived pretty early this month, which is a nice change. I already knew what was going to be in the box, but I was still looking forward to checking everything out.
If you’re not aware, Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box that sends 5-6 deluxe sized samples packed inside a super sturdy, reusable box. The packaging is top notch and only the highest quality brands are included. Like many of the other beauty subscriptions, you’ll fill out a personal beauty profile when you sign up so that they can send products that best suit your lifestyle, skin type, etc.
Subscriptions are $21/month and shipping is free. They also have a great rewards system where you can earn points for revewing the products you receive in your box. Once you’ve accumulated 1,000 points, you’ll earn a free month.
Let the April Glossybox unboxing begin!
First off, how flippin’ COOL is the box itself?! So good.
I keep all of my Glossybox boxes, but this one is definitely the neatest looking. (Though February’s was pretty awesome too!)
The tri-fold Glossybox info pamphlet include photos of every product, descriptions, prices, and even tips on using them.
Julep Gel Eye Glider ($16) – I’ve heard good things about these gel gliders, so I’m excited to try one out for myself. It’s waterproof, sets in 30 seconds, and stays on for more than 10 hours. Subscribers received a variety of colors and I’m pretty happy with this “Olive” shade.
Aerin Waterlily Sun Eau de Perfume Spray (~$19) – I normally don’t wear fragrance, but I just might make an exception for this. It has a nice, light scent that reminds me of warm spring days. I like the tip on the info card that suggests spraying your hairbrush with a little fragrance and running it through your hair. Cool idea.
Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum (~$15) – This intensive serum promises to reduce the look of uneven skintone by brightening dark spots and providing lots of hydration. Apply it both in the morning and at night before your moisturizer. Supposedly you’ll be able to see results in as little as 4 weeks. Worth a shot!
Marrakesh Endz Split End Mender & Preventer ($5.99) – A split end treatment featuring argan oil, hemp seed oil, and hydrolyzed wheat protein. I don’t really have issues with split ends, so I’ll probably be passing this one along to someone who does.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Stained Gloss Lip Tar ($18) – Wow. This is one seriously BRIGHT shade (“New Wave”). I tend to shy away from most lip products and this will certainly be no exception. That said, I do appreciate the fact that it’s 100% vegan and cruelty-free!
Thursday Friday Pouch & Mystery Gift – Yay! — A bonus item! Glossybox teamed up with Thursday Friday to bring us this cute little cotton pouch with a nylon lining. Inside was a “mystery gift” to redeem on the Thursday Friday site. Neat!
While I’ll probably only use about half of the products in April’s Glossybox, I’m still pretty darn happy with it. The Julep glider alone nearly made the box worth the monthly cost. The total of all the items comes to roughly $74! That doesn’t even include the Thursday Friday bag or mystery gift. Crazy good value!
For a limited time, you can get a FREE ModelCo LASHXTEND Mascara with your first box.. Just use coupon code “LASHXTEND” at checkout!

Ah! I LOVE those Julep eye gliders! I have one in a bronze shade – it may even be the same olive one you received, but I’m not sure. I want more of them, but it’s hard to justify buying ANYTHING with the excess of products I have from sub boxes – I’m sure you can relate! Great review. 🙂

I haven’t tried mine yet, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about ’em! Oh, I can definitely relate. haha Thanks! 😀
