Goody Gorilla is a new-ish subscription box that delivers healthy snacks to your door for just $15 a month (shipping included).
When I first got word of this box I was super stoked, since they promised that 90% of the items would be vegan. (It said so in their FAQ’s.) So when I got my box and found that only 4 out of the 7 products were in fact vegan, I was pretty bummed.
Thankfully, customer service was great and offered to send me additional vegan snacks at no charge (even though I requested to cancel my account). I just looked at their FAQ page again and noticed that they took out the “90%” and replaced it with “some”. While it’s sad that they’re not featuring as many vegan products as once promised, it’s cool that they owned up to it and updated their site to reflect that.
Alright… Enough blabbering… Onto the box!
Rocky Mountain Popcorn Company Caramel Popcorn – Sadly, this one isn’t vegan. It IS gluten-free though. It’s also made with whole grain, non-GMO kernels and is totally free of nuts.
Fruit Bliss Soft Dried Apricots – All natural, preservative-free fruit snack. Nothin’ but apricots in this bag. To keep them extra moist, they’re infused with a bit of water for juicy snackin’.
Marich Natural Coconut Curry Cashews – These are “roasted cashews in an exotic blend of white chocolate, curry and coconut”. An interesting combination of flavors, of which I won’t be able to experience cos they’re not vegan. Pssh.
Silk Shortbread Classic Butter Cookie – This is neither vegan, nor gluten free. It’s also not exactly a heathy snack. I guess it’s just an extra “splurge-y” item.
Brothers-All-Natural Fuji Apple Crisps – 100% real fruit snack made with Fuji apples. Each bag is equivalent to 2 servings of fruit. No added sugar or preservatives. Vegan & gluten-free.
Pur Peppermint Gum – Sugar-free/aspartame-free peppermint flavored gum made in Switzerland. Vegan, gluten-free, and diabetic-friendly.
Seasnax Chipotle Flavored Roasted Seaweed Snack – Vegan/gluten-free snack made with seaweed, olive oil, sea salt, and organic ground chipotle. I can’t say that I’m a fan of seaweed (I kinda hate it), so this will be going into my trade pile.
I wasn’t overly impressed with Goody Gorilla, mostly due to the lack of vegan-friendly products. However, it seems like a decent box for those without any dietary limitations. Plus, their customer service was pretty awesome. Right now, you can get your first box for just $10 when you click here and use the code “GOODY10“. Happy snackin’!

Seems this company is not exactly honest in their advertising. They advertised a free box, so I ordered it, then had to pay $8 for shipping, even though their site advertises free shipping. The box is not worth $15 a month. Even worse that they hooked you with the advertisement of vegan products, only for you to receive a minimal amount of the products they advertise. I cancelled my subscription 10 minutes after ordering the box.

I subscribed to this box and Love with Food, and think Goody Gorilla is actually a lot better. They feature more full size items and you can get it as low as $13/month if signing up for months in advance so it’s a really good deal IMO. I would imagine they will start featuring more vegan and gluten free items since it seems like there is a lot of request for this.
