Gramma in a Box is a monthly subscription box that sends the joy of fresh-baked cookies and a fun creative candy project each month.
Each box will feature a different theme that goes along with the current season/holiday — Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Springtime, Back to School, etc. It will include 12 fresh baked sugar cookies with 4 frostings & assorted sprinkles, as well as a fun candy craft that makes 8 treats to share — with a combined total of 20 cookies/treats in all. You’ll also receive full color step-by-step instructions with photos, ingredients and a list of any allergens present.

Let’s see what’s in the November 2021 Gramma in a Box shipment!
Everything was shipped in a Priority Mail envelope decorated with a few stickers related to this month’s theme.
The actual box was bright red with the Gramma in a Box logo printed on the sides.
A peek in the box!
A note from “Gramma Terry” (yes, she’s a real gramma!) revealed November’s theme — “Thanksgiving Treats” and let us know about her YouTube channel that features step-by-step instruction videos for each project.
The reverse side of the note listed all of this month’s contents and the items we’ll need from home.
Everything in November’s box!
Sugar Cookie Cut-outs
A dozen pre-wrapped/sealed sugar cookie cut-outs were included in 4 different Thanksgiving/autumn-inspired designs — 3 maple leaves, 3 turkeys, 3 acorns, and 3 oak(?) leaves.
Frosting
To frost the cookies, we received 4 pre-portioned frosting packs in orange, brown, white, and yellow.
Sprinkles
There were 5 little tubs of Thanksgiving-themed sprinkles, all of which were sealed together in plastic wrap to prevent spillage. We received yellow sugar crystals, orange sugar crystals, multi-colored nonpareils with tiny leaves, multi-colored jimmies/sprinkles, and brown jimmies/sprinkles.
Candy Corn, Melting Chocolate, Pretzel Rods, Candy “Eyes/Beaks”
To make this month’s candy craft, we received a small container of candy corn, melting chocolate, sealed pretzel rods, and multi-color “eyes” and “beaks” (chocolate-covered sunflower seeds).
Wax Paper
To provide a clean and safe workspace, we also received a couple sheets of wax paper to assemble our treats on.
Turkey Sticker Sheets
Finally, to add to the Thanksgiving fun, we received two turkey sticker sheets to “assemble” our own little turkey friends. 🙂
Treat making time!!
Goofy Turkey Buddies
The first project/recipe was for “Goofy Turkey Buddies”. Materials used: melting chocolate, pretzel rods, candy corn, candy eyes/beaks, and sprinkles (optional).
To start, we needed to melt the milk chocolate disks in a microwave-safe bowl until creamy & smooth. Once melted, we spooned out a quarter-sized amount onto the wax paper and rolled/placed the tip of a pretzel rod on top. We then created the “feathers” by pushing candy corn pieces into the chocolate.
After the feathers, we added the candy eyes and little sunflower seed beaks.
They turned out so cute!! 😀
Fall Cookies
Cookie decorating time! Materials used: cut-out cookies, frosting, and sprinkles.
The girls both divided up the cookies and got right to work piping & spreading the frosting.
Lots of sprinkles are a MUST. 😉
We were a big fan of these teeny tiny leaf sprinkles.
A very… abstract design. 😉
I love that they’re old enough to complete these projects all on their own so I can just sit back and watch them work. 😉
The finished products!
So festive! — And sprinkle-y!
We’re all big fans of autumn over here, so November’s Gramma in a Box shipment did not disappoint. Everything about it just screamed “fall”! Also, we’ve collected dozens of acorns over the past few weeks for crafting, so the girls were very excited to see those acorn-shaped cookies. 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can save $5 on your first month with coupon code “5OFF“!
