I’m loving all of the Valentine’s Day slash “pink” themed boxes (and bags) this month! So girly and festive. February’s Ipsy bag was no exception.
If you’re new here, Ipsy is a beauty subscription that sends subscribers a monthly “Glam Bag” full of cosmetics and beauty accessories for just $10/month. When you sign up, you take a “beauty quiz” to determine your likes/dislikes, makeup preferences, etc. This helps Ipsy learn which products to send in your Glam Bag. Each bag will contain 4-6 full sized and deluxe sample sized products from top cosmetics brands.
A lot of different variations are sent each month, so you’ll see that other subscribers may have gotten totally different products than you did. Hopefully your beauty quiz answers match you with products that most meet your needs… But honestly, even if you only like one or two of the products, for $10 shipped it’s still a pretty good deal.
Okay, let’s see what’s in my February Ipsy bag!
ModelCo BLUSH Cheek Powder ($22) – I’ve gotten SO much blush from Ipsy! Thankfully it’s something I use daily so I guess it’s no biggie. My skin is very fair so I need all of the color I can get. I’d never pay $22 for blush, but that’s why I subscribe to $10 Ipsy bags. 😉
Eva NYC Up All Night Volumizing Spray ($3.00) – This spray both protects hair from heat styling as well as boosts its volume. It can be used on damp or dry hair. I feel kinda meh about this one… I’m not sure if I’ll use it, but we’ll see.
Emite Makeup Professional Eyelash Curler ($25) – Honestly, eyelash curlers have always scared the bajeezus out of me. I’ve just always been super leery about sticking metal instruments anywhere near my eyes. I don’t even know how they work. I had absolutely no clue what the little red sausage-shaped things were for until I looked at Ipsy’s description. “Hi, my name is Wendy and I’m a total makeup newb.”
Mitchell and Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil ($23) – I normally wouldn’t be thrilled with a product like this, but I recently started using a face serum from another subscription box and I kinda like it. This face oil is ideal for dry, dehydrated skin (which I totally have right now) and is naturally scented.
City Color Cosmetics Creamy Lip Stain in Flirtini ($4.99) – I’m kinda over all the lip products I’ve been getting lately. I mainly use lip balm and lightly tinted moisturizers, so this is definitely going in the trade pile.
I thought this month’s Ipsy bag itself (which I totally forgot to photograph on its own) was really cute and I’ll definitely use the blush and face oil. The spray and curler are maybes and the lip stain is a no go. The total value of all of the products this month comes to a crazy impressive $77.99! That seems ridiculously high, but as far as I can tell the prices are pretty accurate. (If I goofed something up, please let me know!)
Wanna check out Ipsy’s Glam Bag for yourself? Take their style quiz and then decide if you’d like to subscribe! (You’ll definitely get your money’s worth!)

I love your blog! I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve found it, but I subscribed via Bloglovin’ 🙂 I originally came to check out your Ipsy review for the month … I wanted to see some of the other bag variations for the month. I received a few of the same items. I was supposed to receive the ModelCo blush but Ipsy forgot it — I e-mailed them and they e-mailed me back right away to say they were sending the blush out to me. I was super impressed by their fast response! I have so many blushes as is but, just like you said, it’s also a product I use every single day so I’m always happy to receive one in a subscription box to try out 🙂
