Citrus Lane? Already?! I normally get my box around the 22nd, so seeing that it was out for delivery today was quite a nifty surprise. Nifty gallifty. (Yep, I’m using Daniel Tiger references now. I’m a total mom.)
If you don’t already know, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids (aged newborn-5). It’s $29/month (cheaper with longer subs) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. (Not in the last couple months. Boo.)
January’s box was loosely themed with “items that will remind you that spring is right around the corner”. Erm, okay… If you say so, Citrus Lane. 😉 This month’s offerings were tailored to an 18-month old girl. Let’s see what’s inside!
Skip Hop Owl Lunchie – Ooh! I love this! These cute bags from Skip Hop always seem to be featured in the Citrus Lane ads that I see all over the web. I guess they offered them before and parents went nutso over ’em, so they decided to offer them again. This sweet lil’ owl is totally insulated and has a mesh pocket inside to keep utensils, ice packs, etc. We actually got the matching owl spoon/fork set in a different sub box, so I was happy we got this guy. Woo-hoo! I mean, Who-who! Ugh. Mom joke. Who am I?? (Amazon Price: $12.99)
“The hell is this thing, mom?”
(Chloe was unsure about the lunchie at first.)
She eventually warmed up to it.
Dapple Toy & Surface Wipes (Travel Pack) – These are great to take along to restaurants and grocery stores to wipe down chairs/tables/carts before plopping your kids in ’em. They’re made with all natural ingredients and are free of parabens, dyes, and phthalates. Oh, and they’re fragrance free too. This travel pack contains 20 wipes. (Amazon Price: $3.97)
Plan Toys First Shape Sorter – I have quite a few things from Plan Toys and I really like them. They’re made of recycled wood and soy/water-based ink & dyes. This sorter is awesome because all of the pieces are attached to the toy, so they won’t end up thrown across the room like our other sorter pieces do. It’s also great for on the go for that same reason. (Amazon Price: $14.99)
Chloe had fun inspecting the sorter until Ev snatched it out of her hands seconds after this photo was taken. Ah, twins.
Ouchies Jr. Bandages – I’ve gotten this brand of bandages in a previous Citrus Lane box and we still haven’t used them yet, so I wasn’t too excited to get more. However, I’m sure as the girls get older, they’ll get more “ouchies” and these will eventually come in handy. (Amazon Price: $3.25)
Overall, I was satisfied with the products I received this time around. The lunchie is adorable and I’m always happy to get another Plan Toys um, toy. Plus, the total of the items was over the amount that I paid for the box, and that’s always good. 🙂
