Let’s see what’s in the May 2025 Kawaii Box!
Everything was shipped in a small pink & white box with the Kawaii Box logo in the center.
A peek inside!
An info sheet listed all of the items in May’s box, along with drawings and brief descriptions for each one. — The theme for May was “Home Sweet Kawaii Home!”.
Sanrio Character Face Pouch
First up was this cute mini pouch featuring Sanrio’s own Pochacco! The orangey-peach colored pouch/bag is about five inches long, making it a great size for holding change, mini makeup items, little trinkets, and more. It has a zipper closure at the top, ensuring its contents will stay securely tucked inside. (All subscribers received a randomly selected Sanrio character.)
Sanrio Character Friendship Hand Towel
I hadn’t really been a big Kuromi fan before, but after playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure daily over the last few weeks she’s really grown on me. 😉 The Sanrio towel above features a grinning Kuromi clutching a teddy bear with the text “Kuromi — Cheeky but charming” in the top right corner. It measures roughly 13 inches by 13 inches, making it a good size for a washcloth or dish towel.
Kirby Star Organizing Basket
This basket was a little tricky to photograph due to it being made of clear plastic, so just know that it’s not blue. (Though I just placed it next to something white and it does seem to have a slight blue tint.) Sanrio characters sat this one out, allowing Nintendo’s own Kirby to take the stage. The basket features different graphics on the front and back, along with the phrase “Kirby — Pink, Puffy, Powerful”. It measures roughly 5 inches long by 3 inches wide and has two yellow handles for easy transport.
Sanrio Character Face Cream Case
I love little lidded containers like this! Though the info sheet refers to it as a “face cream case”, I’ll definitely be using it for some sort of tiny trinkets. 🙂 I’m assuming subscribers received one of many different character variations, so I’m happy to have gotten Hello Kitty.
Surprise Cup
Okay, another item that blended into my background a little too well. 😉 — But unlike the clear basket, this cup is actually blue in color. It also features the adorable Cinnamoroll showing off his cute cinnamon bun tail on the front, and a smaller image of him holding a pink heart-shaped balloon on the back. It’s definitely on the smaller size, so it would make a great cup for toddlers or using at your desk for kawaii office supplies.
Mystery Goody (Bonus Item)
The final item in May’s box was a mystery goody — which happened to be a mystery squishy. — A mystery dumpling squishy, to be exact. After looking at the possible designs on the box, my fingers were crossed for the little pink piggy and the piggy is exactly what I got. Woo! 😀 When I’m not squishing his poor face in, he can be safely stored in the provided lidded steamer basket. Cute!
Also included in the box was “Happy Times” — a flyer of sorts with fun facts about Pompompurin, an intro to Mofusand, and QR codes to access additional content.
May’s “Home Sweet Kawaii Home” Kawaii Box was packed with so many fun (and mostly practical!) kawaii items. My personal favorites were the Kuromi Hand Towel/Washcloth, Hello Kitty Face Cream Case, Pochacco Pouch, and Mystery Dumpling Piggy Squishy! 😀
