Kiwibop is a new educational subscription for kids age 5 and up. When you sign up, your child will receive one fun postcard in the mail every week from one of the Kiwibop “Postcard Pals”. Each card will feature a new “adventure, cool place, or weird animal fact”.
For every subscription sold, Kiwibop donates one to a child in need. They even encourage members to refer a child who has a serious illness or injury, so that they too can receive a little “happy mail”. Such a great idea. Who doesn’t love happy mail? I sure do! 😉
Kiwibop is $8.99/month or less with longer commitments. Shipping is included.
I was recently sent their introductory “Start-up Package” for review. This is the first package that you receive as a member. Each month thereafter you’ll receive weekly postcards.
Let’s check out what was included!
A welcome letter from the Kiwibop Postcard Pals informs your child of their special VIP membership status. Fancy. 😉
Postcard Pals Discovery Box – A metal Kiwibop tin is included in your first package. This will hold all of your kiddo’s future postcards. Cute!
Three postcards were sent with the starter package. This one is from “Scoot” the owl and features some facts about the Joshua Trees.
The next card is from “Carl”. I have no idea what Carl is. (A little blue pill? Nah, that wouldn’t be right…) Anywhooo… Carl lets your child know about a cool robot museum in Pennsylvania.
The final card is from “Kit” the (legless) cat. Kit gives some facts about his friend, the spotted salamander.
Stickers – Also included is a colorful sticker sheet that features 3 of the Postcard Pals. (I wonder why the Robot guy didn’t send the card about the robot museum? Eh, he must have been busy.)
So there you have it. The Kiwibop Start-up Package. It seems like a neat little subscription, though a tad bit expensive for the remaining months that you only receive weekly postcards. However, I love the fact that they match each subscription with a complimentary one sent to an ill or injured child. That definitely makes it a lot more worthwhile. 🙂
