Konenkii is a quarterly subscription box designed for modern women who want to “age fearlessly and have some fun along the way”.
Every box will feature an assortment of items to “ease, educate, and empower” — but mostly to enjoy. Items will all be full sized and can include beauty products, books, edibles, accessories, and more.
Subscriptions are $49.99 per quarter, or less with an annual commitment. (You can save $5 on your first box with coupon code “ROSEBUD5“!)
Let’s see what’s in the Fall 2015 Konenkii box!
The box was shipped via priority mail and was surprisingly heavy for a small box. I couldn’t wait to see what was in there!
A peek inside — it was packed!
An info sheet/card was glued to the inside of the lid. This quarter’s box featured a (very loose) tailgating theme. (I’ve never seen an info card with such a creative layout. I love how they centered the text inside of silhouettes of the actual items. Very cool!)
The Rainy Apple Shoppe Pumpkin Spice Soap – Whaaat? Two reviews in a row that include pumpkin spice soap? Heck yeah! Damn do I love autumn. 😉 This bar contains an essential oil blend of orange, pumpkin, clove & cinnamon, as well as real fig powder for a mild exfoliant.
Silicone Wine Cups – I wasn’t quite sure what these were until I read the info card. I’ve never seen a silicone cup before! These are kinda neat though. You can take them anywhere without having to worry about breakage, and they can be folded/smooshed to easily fit in your bag. They’re also dishwasher safe. Oh, and they were wrapped in a bonus hairband! 🙂
Fastachi Chocolate Nut Mix – When I saw that this mix had chocolate in it I assumed it wouldn’t be vegan… but I was wrong. Woo! I love when that happens. This treat includes almonds, cranberries, sesame peanuts, pistachios, raisins, hazelnuts, dark chocolate, and salt. YUM!
Honest Hazel Eye Gels – A set of 3 pair of eye gels that help to revitalize and refresh your tired eyes. They contain natural ingredients including cactus collagen, aloe vera, and vitamins C & E.
I See You Made an Effort: Compliments, Indignities, and Survival Stories from the Edge of 50 by Annabelle Gurwitch – Wow. That’s quite the title. This book features a collection of essays about the unfortunate and sometimes hilarious experiences that come with aging. It has pretty good reviews on Amazon and I think I’ll tuck it away until I get a little closer to the big 4-0. (Ugh!)
5 oz Round Flask – Okay, so if the fact that you’re old enough to seek comfort in a book that delves into the realities of turning 50, you might need to find a little more comfort in this handy flask. Well, in the liquid you choose to pour into it, anyway. 😉
Phone Credit Card Holder(?) – This wasn’t listed on the info sheet, so I’m not 100% sure what it is. It’s about the size of an iPhone and it has an adhesive on the back, so I’m guessing you attach it to the back of your phone? It’s made of silicone and has a little pocket in the front, so it would make sense. I think.
Rubber Duckie – Another little bonus item. 🙂
Recipe Cards – Also included were seven recipe cards for a variety of seasonal beverages. They’re printed on a heavy coated(?) cardstock-ish paper and each one features an autumn-inspired quote on the back.
Okay, so I’m not quite in their target demographic yet, but I really enjoyed the Fall Konenkii box! Seasonal soap, a (vegan-friendly!) treat, cool cups, a book, and more… So good! Actually, aside from the book, I’d say women of just about any age would enjoy this box. — Though it would definitely make a great gift for moms, grandmas, or 50th/60th birthdays. 🙂
If you’d like to sign up (for yourself or as a gift), you can save $5 on your first box with coupon code “ROSEBUD5“!
