I’m almost all caught up on all of my November reviews (thanks again, winter storm) and From the Lab is one of the last of the stragglers. The photos aren’t the best quality, as I was really struggling with lighting, but I really just wanted to get this posted. So… here goes!
If you’re new to them, From the Lab is a monthly beauty box that sends you luxury brand beauty products at a drastically lower cost — months before they’re released to the US market. They source their products from some of the same beauty labs that luxury brands develop their lines in. However, they’re able to offer them at a much lower cost because they don’t do extensive marketing campaigns or worry about pretty packaging. This also allows them to get the products to you as early as 18 months before they hit store shelves.
All of the products offered by From the Lab are held to strict European safety standards and are fully tested and approved before being accepted by them. All of the formulas are also cruelty/animal-free (yay!) and contain only clean ingredients. They’re also gluten-free! Each shipment will contain a 30-day supply of 1 to 3 skin care, hair care, or cosmetic items. Boxes are $29.95/month (includes shipping!), or less with longer commitments.
Onto November’s selections!
November’s box featured a special edition “Winter Essentials Collection” consisting of 4 different products.
Face Cream No. 590 (Estimated retail value: $135+) – This face cream contains the healing power and antioxidants of the Yarsagumba mushroom, which works to moisturize and nourish your skin. It also has shea butter, vitamin E, and natural firming ingredients. Apply in the morning, as well as at bedtime for maximum results.
Lip Color Stick No. 337 ($19.95) – My lips totally can’t pull off lipstick, especially bright red lipstick, so I kept this sealed to pass along to someone who can. It’s a pretty shade though, and is formulated without D5, talc, or parabens. I seriously envy all of you who have full, lipstick-worthy lips. Wahhh.
From the Lab Hydrating Lip Primer No. 629 ($29.95) – I’m pretty sure I received this in a past box. It doesn’t matter though, since I don’t use lipstick I’m sure I passed it along to someone else anyway. Actually… I just read on the info card that this can also be used alone, as a long-lasting lip balm. Good to know!
Eye Cream No. 579 ($29.95) – This eye cream is designed to diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, as well as reduce puffiness and bags. It also has patented ingredients to help protect you from the environmental damage caused by heavy metal deposits on your skin. (When I hear the term “heavy metal deposits on your skin”, I think of the members of Metallica taking a synchronized poo on someone’s skin. Because I’m a five year old.)
If you’d like to sign up for the next From the Lab box, you can get $30 in FREE store credit when use the code “GETFREE30” at checkout! All of the products in your monthly box can usually be re-purchased in their shop for under $20/item! So you may be able to snag an item for FREE! Awesome!
