Loose Tea Addict is a subscription box that sends you a sampling of loose leaf tea every month.
Your monthly box will include two different blends of high quality loose leaf teas from around the world. Each pouch contains two ounces — enough to brew 35-40 cups. You’ll also receive a fun tea accessory with every shipment.
Subscriptions are $16.98/month or less with multi-month commitments.
Let’s see what’s in the September 2015 Loose Tea Addict box!
The tea was shipped in a flat white box with the Loose Tea Addict logo stamped on top.
A peek inside.
Individual info cards were included for each of the two teas included. They featured a little background on each one, as well as steeping directions/times.
Tie Guan Yin Oolong – Oolong is one of the most popular classes of Chinese teas. The name of this particular blend means “Iron Goddess of Mercy”, which is quite the odd name for a tea. When brewed it has a nice golden color and its scent is very sweet, as is its flavor.
Keemun Black Tea – Keemun is considered worldwide to be a high quality black tea which is known for its aromatic fragrance and mellow taste. It contains powerful antioxidants that can assist you in losing weight and give you improved muscle endurance. (I didn’t take a photo of the leaves for this blend, as I want to keep them 100% fresh until I’ve finished the oolong.)
Strawberry Tea Strainer – I’m not sure why this photo is so blurry — I swear it didn’t look like that before it was imported! Blurriness aside, this is an adorable silicone tea strainer designed to look like a strawberry. Love it!
If you’re a fan of loose leaf tea, I’d definitely recommend checking out Loose Tea Addict. The premium blends seem to be of great quality and I like that they include individual info cards for each one. Of course, the little “extra” is a fun bonus too!
