It’s time for another Loot Crate unboxing! July’s theme is “Heroes 2” — a sequel to last year’s Heroes box.
If you’re new here, Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box for fans of gamer/geek culture. Every month you’ll get a box packed with 6-8 items that can include toys, gear, snacks, hardware, art, accessories, and more! (They’ve even been sending limited edition Loot Crate exclusive items!) Boxes are $19.37/month (price includes shipping), or less with longer subscriptions.
Okay, on with the July 2015 Loot Crate unboxing!
July’s mini mag/info booklet featured a Q&A with Jon Schnepp, a look at the complicated relationship between Batman and Wonder Woman, and more!
Exclusive TV Series Batman Q-Pop Figure – I’m not exactly a collector nerd, but I’m still gonna keep this guy in his box just in case. 😉 This exclusive figure is inspired by the classic TV show from the 60’s and it’s super cute. (I love his teeny mouth!) It also comes with a little speech bubble sign that has a dry erase board that you can customize with your phrase of choice. A dry erase marker is included as well. Neat!
Legend of Zelda Sweatband – I was kinda hoping for a cooler Zelda item than a sweatband, but what can ya do. Maybe my kids will play with it?
The League of Regrettable Superheroes Book – This is a special Loot Crate edition, which I believe is smaller (and possibly has less pages?) than the original version. It includes 50 of the most unusual (unfortunate?) superheroes of all time… Like Fatman the Human Flying Saucer. What?!
Batman Multi Tool Keychain – You can use this handy keychain to open bottles and even tighten the hinges on your bathroom door. Talk about versatility! It’s pretty heavy/sturdy and appears very well-made.
Star Trek Auto Air Freshener – With this nerdy air freshener, you can “live long and prosper” with a vanilla-scented car.
Exclusive Brawlhalla Download Card – This card includes a code for exclusive skins, weapons, and characters from the game.
Wonder Woman Poster – While a lot of subscribers seem to be drooling over this poster, I kinda loathe getting posters in subscription boxes in general. I never know what to do with ’em. (Duh, hang them up!) I haven’t hung posters in my living space (aside from show fliers on bedroom walls) since college, so… Meh. I guess I’m old.
Aside from the poster and maybe the wristband, I thought the July Loot Crate was pretty cool. The batman figure is probably my favorite item, though the book and keychain were nice additions too.
