My July 2016 Loot Crate showed up late again this month, but it allowed me to get caught up on other boxes, so it’s all good.
If you still haven’t heard, Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box for fans of gamer/geek culture. Every month you’ll get a box packed with 6-8 items that can include toys, gear, figures, art, accessories, and more. They often send special limited edition Loot Crate exclusive items as well.
Subscriptions are $19.37/month (price includes shipping), or less with longer plans. — You can save $3 on your first month with coupon code LOOTR3.
Okay, let’s see what’s inside the July 2016 Loot Crate!
The box o’ Loot!
A peek inside.
July’s theme was “Futuristic” and the mini mag/info booklet featured a Loot Crate ranking of the Star Trek captains, a Rick and Morty coloring page, a Valiant Comics reading guide, and more.
Exclusive Rick and Morty Tee – I’ve never watched Rick and Morty, so I’m trusting the info booklet when it tells me that this tee design depicts Rick’s Portal Gun invention. My husband isn’t familiar with the show either, but he does think the shirt looks pretty cool nonetheless.
Exclusive Futurama “Planet Express” Ship Model from QMX – Like all “Q-Figs” I receive, I’ve decided to keep this guy in his box. The “Planet Express” ship from Futurama measures roughly 5 1/2 inches tall and can be removed from its display stand for those who choose to actually play with their toys. 😉
Exclusive 3″ Mega Man Red Variant Figure from Kidrobot – While this looks like a regular blind box, the info booklet states that all subscribers received the red and white suit variant of Mega Man as shown in the photo above. (Yep, this guy stays in the box too!)
Exclusive Star Trek Dedication Plaque Replica Decal – An exclusive repositionable decal of the U.S.S. Enterprise dedication plaque. It measures 4.5″ x 3″ and can be stuck wherever your little heart desires.
Exclusive Valiant Comics’ 4001 A.D. #1 – A Loot Crate exclusive variant cover 4001 A.D. comic. I don’t know much about comics, sooo… that’s all I got.
Exclusive July 2016 Loot Pin – July’s pin was one of the coolest (geekiest?) to date. It featured the unmistakable Vulcan “Live Long and Prosper” salute in slick silver and gold tones. Neat!
While I wasn’t familiar with a lot of the franchises this month, I still thought this was a pretty solid offering from Loot Crate. As always, it was packed with exclusives and well worth the cost of the monthly subscription. — If you’d like to sign up for Loot Crate, you can save $3 on any subscription plan with coupon code “LOOTR3“!
