November 2016 Loot Crate unboxing time!
If you still haven’t heard, Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box for fans of gamer/geek culture. Every month you’ll get a box packed with 6-8 items that can include toys, gear, figures, art, accessories, and more. They often (more often than not actually) send special limited edition Loot Crate exclusive items as well.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $19.37/month (price includes shipping), or less with longer plans. — You can save $3 on your first month with coupon code LOOTR3.
Okay, let’s see what’s inside the November 2016 Loot Crate!
The familiar black Loot Crate crate box.
A peek inside!
The theme for November’s box was “Magical” and the mini mag/info booklet featured an exclusive interview magician/illusionist Joseph Réohm, a Looter gift guide, and more.
Exclusive Fantastic Beasts Obliviator T-Shirt – I don’t know too much about Fantastic Beasts other than it has to do with Harry Potter (right??). That said, I have zero clue as to the meaning of this shirt, but I’m guessing fans of the genre/franchise will be pleased with it.
Exclusive Doctor Strange Q-Fig – My husband just went to see Doctor Strange last week, so he thought this figure was a cool inclusion. It depicts Doctor Strange himself in the midst of casting a spell, with his cape suspended in mid-air.
Exclusive Game of Thrones Journal – This faux-leather journal features Melisandre (The Red Woman) from Game of Thrones. The book is doubled sided, revealing her “true form” on the back cover. The pages inside are lined and there are spaces to record the date, time of day, and weather in the top margin.
Exclusive Big Trouble in Little China/Escape From New York Comic – Ha! I remember watching Big Trouble in Little China at my friend’s house when I was in grade school — when I was too young to realize how ridiculous it was. 😉 In this comic “done with director John Carpenter’s complete blessing, witness this melee of the mullets as two cult classic characters made famous by actor Kurt Russell crossover in an improbable adventure.”
Exclusive November 2016 Loot Pin – November’s pin allowed subscribers to unlock special Elder Scrolls game play (for those who already own The Elder Scrolls.)
While I wasn’t too familiar with most of the featured franchises this month, I still thought it was a pretty solid Loot Crate offering. As always, it was packed with exclusives and well worth the cost of the monthly subscription. — If you’d like to sign up for Loot Crate, you can save $3 on any subscription plan with coupon code “LOOTR3“!
Mongoose
I tried redeeming my Elder Scrolls Online DLC and it doesn’t work. Apparently, if you play the game via STEAM your code won’t work. I sent a request for help to the TESO support people but they haven’t replied in a week.
Otherwise, the box was pretty solid. Really loved the variant comic.
