Love With Food time again! I feel like I just reviewed May’s box… The theme this month is “Take Me Out to the Ball Game”. I’m not a fan of baseball (or sports in general… but baseball is extra snooze-worthy to me)… However, I can definitely appreciate these healthier versions of typical ballpark fare.
Love With Food is only $10/month (plus $2 shipping) for their “standard” box (this one). They also have a “deluxe” box for $19.95/month (free shipping). With every box purchased, Love With Food donates a meal to a person in need. Everyone wins! Also — for their upcoming July box, they’re teaming up with 2 Degrees Food and donating twice the amount of boxes!
Okay, let’s see what was inside June’s box!
The Cookie Department Snap Back Ginger Detox Cookie – I’m so sad that this cookie isn’t vegan. It looks SO good! I love ginger flavored anything — especially cookies. This contains cayenne and blackstrap molasses which, along with the ginger, have natural detoxing effects on the body. A healthy cookie? Heck yes!
Dulcetto Chocolate Cookies – These look good too! They’re tiny pillow-shaped wafer-type cookies that are filled with rich chocolate. Mmm. This whole package has just 100 calories. You can even put them in the freezer for a frozen treat. (Yep, definitely wish these were vegan-friendly!)
G. H. Cretors Chicago Mix Popped Corn – This is all natural popcorn made with a mix of both caramel corn and cheddar cheese corn. Now, my veganism aside, I gotta say… this sounds kinda gross. Caramel corn, fine. Cheddar cheese corn, okay. But BOTH of them TOGETHER? In one bag?? Ehhh… Just doesn’t sound appetizing to me. Am I wrong on this? Have you tried it? Do tell!
YumEarth Organics Fruit Snacks – I’ve had these before (maybe from an older LWF box?) and they’re really good. They’re all natural, organic and vegan-friendly (woo!) fruit snacks made with real fruit juice. Yum!
Gum Ball by Tree Hugger Gum – Vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO bubble gum! I haven’t had bubble gum in forever, so I’m chewing it as I type. It’s pretty good! Would have been nice to have more than one little piece to sample, but what can ya do.
Jolly Oak Good for You Granola in Almond Butter & Jelly Sandwich – I haven’t tried it yet, but this looks like it’s gonna be awesome. It’s made with almonds, strawberries, cranberries, and other yummy stuff. Everything in it is 100% natural (including honey — strict vegans take note).
Stoneridge Orchards Montmorency Cherries – USA-grown dried cherries in a 100-calorie snack pack. Contains only dried cherries, cane sugar and sunflower oil.
Snikiddy Cheddar Baked Fries – I feel like these were in a past LWF box as well. I know I’ve gotten them in some box, anyway. They’re gluten-free baked potato sticks made with non-GMO potatoes and real cheddar cheese. They have zero trans fats or cholesterol — plus, 50% less fat than regular potato chips. I’d love to try a non-cheese version!
I thought this was a pretty good box. Not as many vegan items as I’d like, but half is better than none. 🙂
If you’d like to sign up for Love With Food, they’re currently offering new members their first box for FREE (just pay $2 shipping) when you use the promo code “YUMMY” (If that code doesn’t work, try “FBGIFT“). Just enter the code at checkout — I heard it also takes $10 off of the deluxe box as well! Woo!
