Let’s see what’s in my October 2018 Lovespoon Candles box!
Everything was shipped in a black and white box with the Lovespoon Candles logo on top.
A peek inside!
There wasn’t an info card, but they did include a thank you note along with a little Welsh lovespoon. According to the card, lovespoons have been traced back to the 17th century and were originally carved by hand. They’re traditionally seen as symbols of both love and good fortune. Neat!
Pumpkin Pie Soy Candle ($28)
I was VERY excited to see a pumpkin pie scented candle in the box. (Yay, autumn!) Packaged in a pretty black & white decorative tin, this candle is part of Lovespoon’s Cornerstone Collection. It’s made with all natural soy wax and essential oils that put forward notes of pumpkin, vanilla, cinnamon and ginger. It has a cotton, lead free wick with a total burn time of approximately 50 hours.
Lavender Soy Candle ($28)
The second candle in this month’s box was from their Monogram Series and was housed in a beautiful purple holder made from 50% recycled glass. Like the pumpkin pie candle above, this too consists of all natural soy wax and has a burn time of roughly 50 hours. It’s scented with soothing lavender to create an instant atmosphere of calm.
Honey Dew Melon Travel Tin ($6.95)
When I removed the lid from this travel tin, I immediately noted some sort of sweet/fruity scent. However, when I flipped it over to see if it was labeled, I was surprised to see “Coffee Bean” printed on the bottom. To be sure I wasn’t going crazy, I had my husband take a sniff to see what he thought it smelled like (without showing him the label) and he said “melon”. Phew! Not crazy. 😉 While I would have preferred an actual coffee bean scented candle, the melon is nice too.
Also included was a card reminding you that your subscription helps to feed children in need, along with a “Gratitude Card” that opened up to reveal a quote by Rose Kennedy.
As a self-proclaimed candle hoarder, I was incredibly pleased with October’s Lovespoon Candles box. I absolutely loved the pumpkin pie candle and was happy with the other two scents as well. I appreciate that they’re all made with high quality soy wax and scented with essential oil blends. The total retail value of October’s box was just over $60! 😀
