Munch Box is a monthly subscription from Candy Kid that delivers an assortment of sweets right to your door. They include a fun mix of candies that can fit into any of the following categories: funny, foreign, healthy, classic, and new. In other words, there’s quite the assortment — something for everyone! Woo!
I was originally supposed to receive the February Munch Box, but there was a mixup and I got the March one instead. To be honest, I’m kinda happy for the delay. Why? Read on!
The box has a bright orange kid-themed locker sticker on the lid. Cute! Let’s check out its’ innards! (Ew…)
Lenny & Larry’s The Complete Chocolate Chip Cookie – Here’s the reason why I was more than happy to get the March box — A freakin’ VEGAN chocolate chip cookie! 😀 Heck yes! This was the last thing I expected to see in a candy box, so I was beyond excited. It was a pretty large cookie and had the perfect chewy consistency. Mmm! It tasted like your classic choco chip cookie and I don’t think anyone would ever be able to tell that it’s vegan & has 15g of protein! Loved it!
Cadbury Crunchie Bar – This chocolate bar has a “golden honeycombed centre”, which I’m guessing is sorta like Europe’s version of sponge candy. My mom loooves sponge candy (and Cadbury’s), so she tore into this as soon as I offered it to her. Settle down, momma.
Sour Flush Candy Plunger with Sour Powder Dip – Okay, I’m gonna take a wild guess and say that this one goes under the “funny” category? It’s a little plastic toilet with sour sugar powder inside that you dip the attached “plungers” (aka suckers) into. Yum? I can’t say that I’ll be eating this, though I’ll definitely be saving the toilet for the girls to play with in a couple years. I mean, their stuffed animals are gonna have to poop somewhere, right?
Wondermade S’mores Marshmallows – These are handcrafted marshmallows made with all natural ingredients. It’s basically a ready-to-eat s’more — marshmallow, chocolate, and graham cracker all in one. They also have bourbon flavored ones available on Amazon!
Zotz Orange & Grape Candy – These candies have a hard outer shell with a fizzy center. I sorta remember eating these as a kid but would have totally forgotten about ’em until getting them in my box. Ah, memories.
Munch Bag – Each Munch Box comes with a Munch Bag that includes one scoop of every bulk candy that they have in their online shop. My bag must have broke open during transit, cos there were a ton of little gummies swimmin’ all over my box. That didn’t stop me from sampling a few pieces though. Included were Swedish Fish, gummy bears, Sour Patch Kids, peach rings, gummy worms, and more.
Phew. That’s a whole lotta sugar!
Munch Boxes are $25.00/month including shipping. You can also get ’em for less by ordering a 3-month sub for $22.99/month, or a 6-month sub for $21.50/month.
