Time to celebrate Spring and the coming warmer weather with a little peek at the latest collection from Matilda Jane Clothing! Woohoo!
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you already know that Matilda Jane makes some seriously adorable children’s clothes. (You can see my past reviews here.)
For those who aren’t as familiar, Matilda Jane Clothing is a mom-owned company that specializes in uniquely designed girl’s clothing and accessories. Their collections are fun, whimsical, and sized to fit everyone from babies to mommas.
Matilda Jane kindly offered to send me two outfits from their Spring Collection, “It’s a Wonderful Parade”.
Outfit #1 consisted of an adorable Cloudy Puffer Tee, Sweetheart Ruffled Leggings, and a Love Bug Knot Top. The white tee shirt is super soft and can easily go with just about any outfit. The leggings are fun & girly, and while I don’t *love* ruffled pants, I actually don’t mind these ones (probably because they’re leggings as opposed to pants). The knot top is just plain sweet — eyelet lace, flutter sleeves, and strawberries — what’s not to love?
Outfit #2 was this summery Limeade Ellie Roundabout Dress. This is the first one-piece item I’ve received from them and I LOVE it. It has such a fun, carefree feel. It just screams “summertime”!
I had originally planned to do a little outdoor photoshoot, but the weather hasn’t been too cooperative lately. (Despite the blinding sunlight, it was only about 50 degrees.) So I had to settle for Plan B: the girl’s nursery.
I got them dressed and let them loose to do as they wished, while snapping away. Despite the harsh lighting by the window, I really love how the photos turned out. Of course, it’s mostly due to their adorable clothes! 😉 (Oh — I should probably note that the fit is a little big on the girls because I sized them up so they could wear the clothes well into the summer. For size reference, they’re currently in 18 month clothes and these pieces are 2T.)
