Yay! My May bluum box came today! It usually seems to take a lot longer, so I was surprised to see it here already. — Hey, I’m not complaining!
bluum is a monthly subscription box for babies & kiddos from birth through age 5. Each box contains 5 or more products that are responsibly sourced, eco-friendly and often organic.
There used to be monthly “themes”, but they’ve moved away from that and instead curate each box based upon your child’s current age in months. bluum also just announced that they’ve joined forces with Stork Stack, so anyone who had a subscription with them (Stork Stack) will now be receiving boxes from bluum instead.
My girls are currently 21 months old, so the bluum box I received was for 22 months. Let’s see what they sent!
They don’t send a physical information card, but instead email you a list of everything in your box. They also have the info available on their site, once the box has been delivered (no spoilers!).
Flap Happy Sun Hat with UV Protection – Ooh! I love the white eyelet pattern on this hat! Adorable! The actual style isn’t my thing (ear flaps), but if it provides extra protection from the sun, it’s a-ok with me. (Hey, I won’t be the one wearin’ it! haha) It has a UPF of 50+ and totally covers your kiddo’s neck and ears, which is great for those harsh early afternoon rays. It’s made of 100% cotton poplin and is machine washable. (Amazon Price: $19.50)
Purple Prairie Botanicals SunStick – This is a neat mineral sun protection stick that’s made with 100% natural ingredients (80% of which are organic). It contains 20% zinc oxide which is equivalent to an SPF of 30. It’s water resistant, unscented, and biodegradable. This will be great to throw in the diaper bag for quick, on the go sunscreen application. Love it. (Amazon Price: $12.56)
Kidz Banz Ultimate Polarized Children’s Sunglasses – I’ve been wanting to pick up some sunglasses for the girls and these are perfect! I was worried that maybe they wouldn’t keep regular glasses on their face, but these ones have a cool velcro strap to help keep them put. They also have UV 400 rating for 100% UVA/UVB protection. Awesome! (Now I’m gonna need one more pair!) (Amazon Price: $14.99)
Pampers Kandoo Flushable Wipes – These are flushable wipes that are moistened with lotion for sensitive skin. They claim to clean 30% better than regular toilet paper. We haven’t started the whole potty training thing yet, so we’ll put these away until they’re ready. Good to have though! (Amazon Price: roughly $1.69)
Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn – I love this stuff! I’ve gotten Angie’s in a few other subscription boxes and it’s always a welcome treat. They use non-GMO corn and only 100% natural ingredients. (Amazon Price: roughly $0.75)
The total of all the items in this month’s box comes to a whopping $49.49! — Nearly double the monthly cost! Awesome!! Gotta love a high value box! Although there wasn’t a true theme, I was happy to receive so many “summery” items. Definitely useful stuff. 🙂
