Love With Food time! The theme this month is “Derby Days”. They’ve “re-imagined” Kentucky Derby food (no idea what that consists of) and focused on more all natural, healthy snacks.
Love With Food is only $10/month (plus $2 shipping) for their “standard” box (this one). They also have a “deluxe” box for $19.95/month (free shipping). With every box purchased, Love With Food donates a meal to a person in need. Everyone wins! (Psst… there’s an awesome discount code at the end of this post!)
Everything in the box was vegan this month, with the exception of two items. Total score for me! Woo!
As always, it arrived in its signature red box. They always send the same size box and I’m curious if that will ever change… This thing was PACKED.
Revolution Tea Sampler – I knew there was going to be tea in the box, but I figured it would just be one bag, not a sampler with 3 different flavors. Cool! The flavors included are Honeybush Caramel, Southern Mint, and Tropical Green. I love tea so I was happy to get these.
Sweet Potato Chips by One Potato Two Potato – Yum! I love sweet potato chips. These are kettle cooked in small batches and made with non-GMO sweet potatoes. They only have 3 ingredients: sweet potatoes, sunflower oil, and sea salt.
J&M Key Lime Cookies – These sound so good! I love key lime flavored things. Sadly, this is one of the 2 non-vegan items. They contain no preservatives or hydrogenated oils and are described as having a nice balance of tart and sweet.
Giddy Up & Go Granola in Seriously Seedy – I’ve gotten this granola in a different box once and it was super good. It’s full of good stuff like flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, raisins, sunflower seeds and more. It’s certified gluten-free and vegan. Yay!
Flavrz Tropical Peach Drink Mix – I’ve gotten this in a few different sub boxes as well. At first, I was like “why the heck do I need to flavor my water?”, but after a few uses it totally grew on me. It’s organic, non-GMO and gluten-/dairy-free.
Sea Salt Caramels by Le Caramel – This is the other non-vegan item in this month’s box. Such a bummer cos these sound incredible. Who doesn’t like sea salt caramels? Mmm.
Tarallino Snack with Extra Virgin Olive Oil – I’m excited to try these. They’re a traditional Italian pretzel-like snack made with olive oil and white wine.
Hickory Smoked Sea Salt & Italian Black Truffle Salt from The Spice Lab – A lot of people seem to be big fans of finishing salts like these, but I don’t really know what to do with them. I’m not a salt fan in general, but I heard it’s supposed to bring out the true flavors of certain foods? Eh. Salt, schmalt!
I’m pretty satisfied with this month’s box. It’s always great (well, for me) when most of the items are vegan-friendly. I already love the granola, I’m sure the chips will be great, I can always use more tea, and I’m curious to try the pretzel thingies. 😉
If you’d like to sign up for Love With Food, they’re currently offering new members their first box for FREE (just pay $2 shipping) when you use the promo code “YUMMY”. Just click here and enter the code at checkout! — I heard it also takes $10 off of the deluxe box as well! Woo!
