MissionCute is a newer subscription box that features unique products from smaller, independent artists and businesses. Every month, 50% of their net proceeds is donated to a different nonprofit organization.
MissionCute’s motto is “Making a difference one box of cute stuff at a time”.
Boxes are $29/month and shipping is always free.
I was recently sent their May box for review. I really had no idea what to expect, so I was excited to see what was inside!
The first look was super cute! Love the polka dotted tissue paper!
I totally forgot to take a photo of the info sheet — but it does exist, I swear! It listed all of the items, along with photos, and a little summary of this month’s chosen nonprofit (The Eli Home).
Boho Bands Hair Ties – This hair tie set was made especially for MissionCute! I love how the polka dot ones match the tissue paper in the box. Intentional? Coincidence? Either way, I dig it.
Peachtree Lane Rose Stud Earrings – Roses! I always like getting anything rose-related and these are no exception. I’m not entirely sure what these are made of, but they’re a lot lighter than they look (weight-wise). I don’t have pierced ears anymore, but I’m sure the girls will love these when they’re old enough to wear ’em.
“Cheers” Cocktail Napkins by p. press – Set of 20 beverage/cocktail napkins with a hot pink “Cheers” design. Not the most exciting thing to get in a subscription box, but useful nonetheless. Hey, who couldn’t use some extra napkins, right? 😉
Mint Lip Gleem by Just Neem – I must have at least 20 lip balms waiting to be opened, thanks to subscription boxes. I don’t, however, have one that’s made with neem extract. (Well, now I do.) Neem is a natural ingredient (from the Neem tree) that has antibacterial properties that help to heal and protect the skin. Not surprisingly, this balm is great for healing dry, cracked lips.
Carbon Crusader Pencils – These pencils are hand engraved with the phrase “I <3 You Mom!”. While that’s a nice sentiment ‘n all, I was a little bummed that it wasn’t something more “bold”, “uncensored”, or “sassy”, as indicated on the box. Loving your mom isn’t very sassy, ya know? (I think I’ll force the girls to use these when they go to school. How’s that for sassy?)
MissionCute is definitely a fun, girly (and yes, cute!) box. I like that most of the items were from smaller, Etsy-based businesses and it’s awesome that they donate half of their profits to a different cause every month. It looks like there’s a waitlist for the next box, so if you’re interesting in signing up, don’t wait too long! 🙂
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate/referral links.
