Let’s see what’s in the Fall 2018 Merkaela box!
Everything was shipped in a peach colored box with a small Merkaela logo in the corner and this quarter’s theme — “Stillness” repeated across the top.
A peek inside!
An info card explained the meaning behind the theme and listed all of the items in this quarter’s box, along with short descriptions of each one.
A small affirmation card was included to set the tone for the box and serve as a mantra to use during meditation.
Cypress Shea Body Butter ($25)
Merkaela doesn’t mess around when it comes to creating indulgent body butters. — They’re some of the thickest and most pleasantly scented moisturizers I’ve tried. This cypress shea version is made with all natural ingredients including organic shea butter, hemp oil, rosemary extract, lavender oil, and cypress oil. It smells amazing and hydrates beautifully. According to the info card, cypress helps to stimulate the circulatory system, diminish cellulite, and reduce muscles spasms.
Lavender Meditation Elixir ($18.50)
This fragrant meditation elixir was formulated to calm and balance the energy of the heart. It features the soothing scents of lavender and rosemary, making it ideal to use during your meditation practice. It can be sprayed anywhere to instantly clear your aura and create a calming, sacred space.
Palo Santo ($5.50)
I LOVE the scent of palo santo! Sustainably sourced & ethically wildcrafted, these can be used to conjure up well-being and creativity while meditating — or simply to invoke a safe, warm environment. With a clear mind and good intentions, use a match or lighter to ignite your stick of Palo Santo. Then hold at about a 45-degree angle pointing the tip down toward the flame and allow it to burn for about 30-60 seconds and then blow out. With your lit palo santo stick, walk around your workspace, home, car, bathroom or anywhere you would like to uplift the energy.
Merkaela Gem Bracelet ($13)
This pretty gem bracelet is composed of white howlite beads that are said to absorb anger and negative energy. According to the info card, meditating with howlite can help you connect with the higher realms, allowing for greater communication and higher frequencies into the higher chakras.
Juniper Sage Salt Bath ($18)
With the stressful week I’ve been having — already hyper 6 year olds + early Halloween candy consumption is not a good mix — I could really use a long, hot bath. Containing a blend of juniper berry, sage herbs, juniper essential oil, Mediterranean sea salt, epsom salt & dendritic salt, this luxurious salt bath melts stress away, conquers aching muscles and soothes the skin. Sign me up!
Sweetgrass Soap Bar ($8.50)
Sweetgrass is considered sacred by indigenous North American Native people, used for healing imbalances during purification rituals. This aromatic bar soap is made with a blend of natural oils and herbal extracts including saponified organic oils of palm, coconut, olive and palm kernel, natural sweetgrass essential oil blend, and organic rosemary extract. It smells wonderful and I’m looking forward to sudsing it up in the shower.
Earl Gray Tea Ritual ($8.50)
A “stimulating & rejuvenating” tea potion designed to improve your mental & physical alertness, while also promoting skin health with its powerful antioxidants. It features a blend of black tea, cornflower petals, and natural bergamot flavoring.
The Merkaela Fall 2018 “Stillness” box included a nice collection of products to encourage you to experience and enjoy a little bit of stillness. My favorite items this quarter were the Cypress Shea Body Butter, Lavender Elixir, Juniper Sage Salt Bath, and Sweetgrass Soap Bar. — Remember, for a limited time you can save 15% on your first box with coupon code “ALIVE15“.
