Let’s see what’s in the May 2017 Mommy Mailbox box!
Everything was shipped in a white box with the Mommy Mailbox logo on top.
A peek inside!
May’s box theme was “Honor” and it was curated by Lizzie Haro, a full-time mom and blogger.
An info card listed all of the items in the box, along with brief descriptions for each one.
The Magic of Motherhood by Ashlee Gadd ($12.91, Amazon)
I’m typically not a big fan of receiving books in a subscription box (unless it’s a book subscription, of course. 😉 ) There are just so many different genres out there and everyone has their own favorites, making it pretty much impossible to select a single book that everyone will be happy with. That said, this collection of essays is all about motherhood — something the majority of Mommy Mailbox subscribers will certainly relate to. It looks like an easy read and has great reviews on Amazon, so I’ll give it a chance.
Kendra Phillip Chloe Ring ($22)
Ooh! I really like this ring and not just because I have a daughter named Chloe (though it doesn’t hurt. 😉 ). Its simple, minimalist look is great for everyday wear and I like how the slightly textured (hammered?) design gives it a little more character.
Manna Kadar Flutter Mascara in Jet Black ($29)
This “flutter” mascara helps you get full and curled lashes with its one of a kind curvy wand. The round tip allows you to grab hard-to-reach lashes and also ensures a clump free application. Use alone or with lash primer for an even more dramatic look.
Papermart Paper Straws (~$1)
A 1o-count pack of pretty purple and white paper straws. Perfect for a party, picnic, or just making your at-home beverages a little more fun.
Lake Champlain Chocolates (~$1)
Two little squares of Lake Champlain chocolates were also included — Dark Chocolate Hazelnut and Milk Chocolate. The hazelnut piece was both vegan-friendly and delicious!
At first glance, I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about May’s Mommy Mailbox, but it quickly grew on me. My favorite items this month were the Chloe ring, motherhood book, paper straws, and vegan chocolate square. The total retail value of everything was roughly $65. 🙂 — Remember if you’d like to subscribe, you can save $5 on your first box with coupon code “ROSE5“!
